Why personal objectives in the Crucible are a terrible idea

We all know what this is referring to. First it was the Thorn bounty. Now it's the Jolly Holiday quest. So we have a quest objective that has players completing something that only they benefit from at the expense of the rest of the team in a competitive mode where the goal is victory. Requiring Crucible participation is one thing. Requiring that players grind at something that isn't their best causing them to be a detriment to the team is ridiculous. The only objectives should be kills and wins. Nothing specific that has people not using or doing their best. Bungie, I get the intention here, but this is overall a bad idea. Plain and simple. At the very least, from now on provide either/or options. Thank you for listening.

  • I agree I think it always be an either or never a one thing only thing. But I don't ever think bungie bothers to care for instance there ware similar complaints with the thorn bounty and look they did it this time only with the chaperone....
