Master Post: Collective Secrets Page 1

Hello and welcome Guardians! This is your friendly neighborhood AnonPig, but don’t let that title fool you, I’m an asshole. Now… Onto business… But… I must ask you to stay silent. What i will be sharing here and now… is… dangerous. For those who have been with me in this long journey of lore, way back to the founding of [REDACTED] and my “Everything to Know” series. You’ll know about what happened in between posts. I wanted to do something different, to ask you what you wanted to know, and to answer it. “I Enjoy Explaining Lore, AMA” was born. Here and now I will say for all what happened with that post because I get asked frequently haha. I made the post, and got told i couldn’t know anything because i had three hunters and a low Grimoire score. The post died. Then weeks later, that one fateful bump sent it spiralling into one of the greatest things I have ever brought to the forums, to me that is. It was so fun to bring you answers to the lore that you desired. As it went on the same questions were asked so i would edit the main post with spoilers. These are those spoilers. best question by NFNS Reflex: Hey Anon why so sexy?
I don't roll any other way.
the nine!
its near impossible to say what the nine are or even who they are. but what we can infer is what the stand for, and what their purpose is, and quite possibly where they came from. their card speaks in riddles and i think each are merely metaphors. more importantly i think that the only came into existence after the collapse. therefore how could an intelligence come into existence from the collapse? the same way the awoken did. whoever, or whatever was out there during the collapse became the nine, and whether they are infact nine, or thats just a name is left unknown as of right now. but they stand separate from our battles, seemingly wanting only balance betweent he light and the dark. The queens brother angered them when he sent crows into the Cauldrons of Rhea, and she had to give them a fallen of noble birth, Skolas, to earn their forgiveness. clearly the awoken have direct dealings with them, this is also why i think they were born of the collapse.
the ahamkara
as for the Ahamkara, they are dragons who seem to eat reality as if it were flesh. they wish to fill the world with teeth which i take to mean metaphorically make the world vicious, and to burn everything. little else is truly known about them other than that they were of great knowledge and would often give answers to guardians who sought them out. no doubt these answers held terrible truths and terrible power because we tried to hunt them into extinction, but it is clear in the grimoire that they are still there. somewhere.
Oryx
the ghost fragment warlock grimoire card has a quote that really resonates
Where is the twilight world under the dead star eye?
i belive the oversoul is actually an eye of Oryx now we understand that a god can have many eyes thanks to toland, and we've already killed Sardok. now why would she call it a dead star eye? if it wasnt in fact another eye of a god. i say its Oryx because of its immense power. able to kill everyone in seconds? Oryx is not someone we're ready to fight just yet.
fallen being focused on us
. i think that the traveler went to them first. it gave them a golden age and saw the horrible things they did and fled not wanting to be associated with them any longer. they now think we stole it. this is further shown by the fallen attacking us, the hive who are on a crusade to devour all light, and the vex who thanks to the sol progeny wish to destroy the traveler.
rasputin
he actually allowed the collapse to happen, and may have even caused it. when the darkness was coming to our system Alpha Lupi froze up. she didn't wish to sacrifice us and didnt know what to do. essentially as the grimoire says, she wouldnt shrug us off. but rasputin was focusing on survival at any cost, if the darkness came we'd all die. casualties had to be made! he detonated nuclear warheads out in the reef, fullwell knowing that there were people trying to escape. this attack is what sent back the darkness. this is what created the awoken, and this is what created the nine.
the planes of existence (the void/black garden/netherrealms-this is well founded speculation
Ok so first lets start with the planes of existence, it's much more logical to believe there are only two than it is to assume thousands. there's the one we live in and the void. the traveler, the ahamkara, and likely many more things (like the leechy mold thing on Achlyophage Symbiote) come from there too. It has many sections, and many names just as we name countries that seem drastically different from one another. The two primary ones we see are the Black Garden and the Hive Netherrealm in CE. This theory explains why there may be an interrelationship between hive netherrealms and the vex gates. all vex gates access the garden, their original birthplace, and the use that to travel through time. This is a valid time travel option because the garden grows in both directions, forwards and backwards tomorrow and yesterday. this is also why they do not just magically go back and kill us all while were young. the vex were born here as i said preivously as well. they were born here to serve as gardeners to the flowers that bloom, but as you can see the flowers have been thrown to the skies and unkept. this is likely do to the involvement of the black heart. i believe that it actually came and corrupted the vex through their collective mind. the sol progeny was built as a way to assimilate to the powers of the black heart, but the door opened both ways. the black heart also became a part of the vex and therefore its agenda did too, now they no longer care about the tending of the garden and have left it behind. The hive have found a way into the void as well, this is where the hive nethrrealms exist and why the laws the hive abide to here arent the same there. this is also the relationship between the two as stated before. now this is solidly why i believe the garden is not inside the traveler.
The weapons of sorrow
From what I gather the weapons of sorrow are guardian made weapons of true darkness, that is the connection between the 3 of them. I expect there to be more as we go. Also the hive aesthetic is because of how religiously the hive worship the darkness, just as we are influenced to create weapons of sorrow, they were influenced as well.
in regards to Lord Shaxx's ...ahem.... member
I can only say what Amanda Holliday has said.
The bedroom is no place for mercy

everyone thank [REDACTED] for this fabulous link explaining the location of the last city on earth: link The battle of twilight gap (Hunter conspiracy disproved)
The battle of twilight gap was the greatest battle the city fought, led by Lord Saladin, against the combined forces of the Fallen, led by the House of Devils. The fight involved all classes, contrary to conspiratorial belief. Ana Bray was one of the hunters who fought in it, and since it was led by an Iron Lord it is safe to assume Gheleon, Perun, edit for accuracy and Efrideet also fought. The outer limits of the city were fortified after the fight, and Commander Zavala and Lord Shaxx took up the roles in the vanguard and crucible respectively. The Gjallarhorn was made from the armour of lost guardians in that fight, and yes hunters do deserve to wield it. Centurialpha? Is a guardian who writes incredible Fanfiction about lore based historical events in destiny, and I believe he wrote about twilight gap. If you're interested https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/100362914
small piece on Saint-14
Saint-14 was an exo who believes the darkness was a collection of enemy races and he led a crusade against the fallen. Appearently he headbutted a Kell to death
why we fight
We're killing them in self defense, every race wants something from us or at least to do with us. To explain our mission is to protect Alpha Lupi, she is a being of light and gave us literally everything. The fallen, I believe(this is speculation), want her back because before us she guided them into a golden age. The hive wish to devour all the light in the universe, practically religiously, and where better to start than her? The Vex, thanks to the sol progeny, have assimilated to the darkness and now fight for it's agenda as well-to destroy the traveler. And the Cabal I'm sure there's more to it, but simply they wish to conquer or system. We only lost to them because of the events of the collapse, thousands if not millions died right then and there out in the reef as well as on earth. The struggle with crota prior eris and her fireteam had also laid many guardians to rest. There's the battle of twilight gap, and the unlucky few who were lost in the archives on Venus. Essentially in a flash, everything hit the fan, and we were not ready.
AnonPig’s Master Posts Archived AnonPig’s Theories Archived Next
