This question had been asked and poorly answered by a mentor that was not able to assist properly.

We deserve an answer. Per Bungies recent policy change, this has gotten much more convoluted than necessary.
My son and I both play on sub-accounts, not on the main account on our PS4. I have pre-ordered the physical collectors edition for Taken King. Now as I understand, only the PS4 main account will recieve the pre-order rewards and there are questions as to whether any of the sub accounts will also recieve any of the VIP rewards.
I plan to pick up my copy on Tuesday, barely 4 days from now. I need to know how this is going to work.
Will we both recieve the VIP rewards even though we're both sub-accounts?
If I start the disk on my son's account, will he recieve the preorder rewards (Suros pack) and I can forfeit them?
Will we both recieve the collectors edition digital content? The shaders/class items/emotes?
Or will neither of us recieve anything because we are sub accounts and all the digital content will be granted to a main account on my system that doesn't even play Destiny?
EDIT: Update, I've attempted to contact Activision and was promptly redirected by an automated system back here to the help forums. Thus, Bungie/Activision has provided no ability for the consumers (us) to address our questions or concerns. Unfortunately, this means I had to proceed to step 2, and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I filed a complaint citing deceptive marketing practices and failure to provide an adequate forum for consumer questions and conerns. Deceptive because the advertising for the product was the same as previous content and no notice of the policy change was provided to the consumer so they could make a knowledagble and informed purchase based upon it.
You can go to the BBB website for San Jose, California and lodge a complaint as well. If you do a search for Bungie, it will show as Activision and being an accredited BBB business. I suggest anyone who has been impacted by this do so. It may be the only way we get answers and resolution.

As a general rule, players will only be able to access the content that they own the license for. Features like “Gameshare” are not supported by Bungie. This is subject to Platform policy. Here are some helpful links to learn about how content is shared across the different platforms on which you can play Destiny. Bump For Destiny 2....same question that doesn't seem to have been officially answered two years later. Does Pre-order bonus DLC go ONLY to main account that purchased it? Do all sub accounts get access to the Pre-order bonus? If not, how are parents supposed to buy their kids a game as a gift when the "neat" stuff doesn't go to them? Real lousy that Bungie or Sony don't make an effort to say the truth here. They should simply make an industry standard that these pre-order bonuses come stand-alone as a code or something e-mailed to account holder and to be given to who ever is gifted the game. Come on gaming industry...this has got to be a major issue with most households.

So do sub accounts get the pre order bonuses or not?

I was going to edit the post, it wouldn't let me as its marked as answerred. So to all wondering: EDIT 2: It would appear that we've recieved an update and the VIP rewards for year one are available. The shader and emblem can be retrieved from the Kiosks by Eva. I did check both mine and my son's sub account to confirm both subs recieved the items. Thanks to user Hopscotch_victim for the heads up on the update.
The Taken King launches on 9/15/2015. Once The Taken King is live players will be able to access the trailer from the Director and all of the pre-order items that they qualify for. For players that own the Taken King and have multiple accounts on one console, The Taken King will be accessible to the secondary accounts at launch, but the pre-order items will only be accessible to accounts that own The Taken King. Please note we are aware of an issue where some players already have already received access to their Collector's Edition items and the Suros pack emblem and shader. If you qualify for these pre-order items, you will receive them by 9/15/2015 when The Taken King launches.
This is from bnghelp.

Hi I have Pre ordered 3 copies of the taken king 1 for myself and 1 each for my 2 sons. I used the same card to pay for TTK on my sons accounts and now only one has received the Suros shader and Emblem even though they both have their own PSN accounts (not sub accounts). Any idea how i can resolve this? 1st time Ive had any issues so not sure how to go about it.

So I'm in the same boat, and I think bungie is screwing us. The special orders vendor that "temporarily" disappeared is how we could share items purchased on a system and Bungie took that away. Claudia Black a well known scifi actress played the voice and yet they got rid the character. My guess is this is the reason why. I should get the VIP stuff but it's the emotes class items and stuff you get with the collectors edition I want on the account I use. Bungie be fair #HELP
