Statement: Audio layers in the game seem to fade in/out seemingly at random. Very obvious in the PoE encounters. It can be the background music suddenly stopping playing, weapon reload sounds and even firing sounds go in and out, etc. I have attached a link to a 2:23min video that has 5 clips (back to back) that I believe greatly exemplify the audio issues at hand.
Another spot is the Tower, while using the vault interface. When taking weapons out you do not get the different audio bangs for each weapon type and instead is simply muted (though the weapon/armor/etc does transfer in and out as normal)
No other game in my collection is presenting similar symptoms.
Platform: Xbox One with latest preview program build (xb_rel_1508.150903-2141).

the real bug is with the ghost the voice is too high, were we promised to not have to deal with squeakers and now we have one 100% the time
-
Bump. Noticed this too.
-
I've experienced the same thing in my PoE encounters, particularly with my headset.. but on PS4.
-
Same issues here, but on PS4. Sometimes sound effects cut in and out at random. Can hear the first shot fired out of a pulse rifle for example, but not the 2nd and 3rd. In the tower the sound effects cut out during vault, or kiosk stuff. Especially horrible during PoE. Out of 4 runs I had one where the sound worked fine, all other three either the BGM, SE cut out over long periods of time, or never were hearable at all. And it changes back and forth between BGM and SE during the PoE. Platform: PS4 Version 2.0 TTK pre-ordered digital(including original and DLCs), but my original game was on disc. I really hope Bungie is fixing this soon, cause it's extremely annoying. Sometimes you can't even tell if something is shooting at you, or close to you(while aiming), cause you can't freaking hear anything.

Ya I had that too
-
I'm having this problem as well on Xbox One. Disc version on internal storage. Audio is HDMI stereo uncompressed.
-
Yep. Just like I have experienced. Terrible sound issues. Can't hear a thing.

Started a new topic: Sound issues in Game

I'm unsure if it's the same thing, since I haven't played POE yet since the patch, but I ran VOG normal and hard last night, and some of the audio cues for oracles during templar fight weren't present, and I had to go search them out instead. Or if they were there, sometimes I would get the last half-second for it. I was wondering if it was just lag, but now with this post I decided to call attention to it. Xbox one, 2.0 patch installed Digital preorder with all DLC pre taken king Using Turtle beach Ear Force x32.

Ps4. Audio cut out in tower. Audio in POE cuts out. Destiny digital with all content.
-
Edited by Seroneth: 9/11/2015 1:16:16 PMI have also noticed audio cue's and certain sounds not playing when they were supposed to. I've noticed it in running animations (footsteps, sprint sound) and jumping (I dont hear anything when I land), ships flying over are silent when before they werent, the loading screen when your allies' ships fly up next to yours there is no sound, when having an engram decrypted it makes no sound, turning in quests made no sound, and several various other places throughout gameplay. Also, the bass seems to crackle when it didnt before. Platform: Xbox One Digital pre-order Using the xbox storage Using the Stereo Headset adapter or through my TV doesnt matter the sound still does not play when it is supposed to.
-
Same issue. Ps4. Sound seems to stutter in some way Eg: The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog Come out like: Th.. Ick... Own... Ju..ed... Ver... The... Azy... Dog. Bare in mind this happens to game sound, music and general sound effects, not to any story related sound that I have experienced. And only at random times so far. PvP, PvE and social space. Doesn't really matter where, but it happens.
-
Edited by SaladSlugger: 9/11/2015 12:04:52 PMI noticed it for the first time In PoE. I usually play with my game volume down low anyways for my music, but the MIDA has a really satisfying and distinct sound and if realized I was only hearing it every three shots or so. I turned the volume up and realized the audio was screwing up. Same console, Xbox one.
-
I'm finding, on XBO, that the sound is now falling off at random all over the tower, not just when using the vault or gunsmith. Very weird to reforge, dismantle or decrypt with only ambient sound effect audible.
-
I have a Turtle Beach Stealth 500X headset that I absolutely love. I always thought Destiny sounded great. With that headset you notice ANY weird audio. Well with patch 2.0 the audio in the game is a mess. I notice certain audio that is much louder then it used to be, audio that is quiter, audio that has completely changed, and audio that drops off. Dismantling items is very inconsistent with audio. Moving items into and out of the vault is different audio from one item to the next. Strange chirps and clicking noises where I think audio starts to play and immediately cuts out. It's pretty bad now.

Ps4 Same issues 2/3 PoE 28 error occurred
-
Same bug on PS4
-
Same here.... please fix it Bungie. ..
-
I have this too, sound seems to crackle and when I'm playing.

Edited by Judas: 9/11/2015 9:35:26 AMIn the tower I have that bug as well. Only thing is it's not limited to the vault, but also happens with vendors, or just running around from one place to the other. Another place it happens is in the player menu while transversing with a jumpship. In PvE it has happend twice to me on earth just after crossing area crossover zones. It only lasted a few seconds, and like I said, it only happend twice so far. Edit: plattfrom PS4, latest build, Headset thru the controller.
