Why I'm not buying any more Destiny expansions or sequels

Destiny Should Add Matchmaking to everything

I prefer the current system

Let me be clear, I really, really like Destiny. I've enjoyed the game, however now I've reached a point that I just find it to be frustrating. To illustrate why I've grown frustrated with this game, I need to articulate a little bit about myself. I'm a 35 year old gamer, (Think gray-bush from Grandmas boy.) However unlike gray-bush, I don't know many other gamers, I have two college degrees, two kids & a wife, two houses, two dogs (one of which is named Izzabell hence my screen name), and a very successful career, which give me LOTS of disposable income to throw at as many expansions / sequels as I so choose. Due to these things however I get limited opportunity to game, as family & career have to come first obviously. What I have found frustrating is that the lack of matchmaking on the best content in Destiny alienates a gamer such as myself. Like I said, I've got a lot of great things going on, and what that doesn't allow for is time to spend making friends with a bunch of teenagers or other people of any age for that matter, so I can find a raid group, or Trials PvP group etc. Generally given that my gaming time is limited, wasting 30 minutes+ trying to send invites or get a group of people who want to do the same thing or using an online LFG website is more of a pain than I really want to go through, because frankly I would rather be playing the game with the available time I have. I've read the justification supposedly proposed by Bungie for this: "We want an environment where people get a better quality experience in raid and higher level content." Not a direct quote, but that's the essence of it. In retort I would point out that the best way to increase ones ability is practice, and more widely available practice yields inherently more high quality experienced players... So that argument is invalid in my opinion because the system in place limits the ability of the average player (never mind someone in my shoes) to gain the experience needed to contribute to the high quality experience goal Bungie has made clear is important to them. Because of the lack of matchmaking on the best material in the game, Bungie has created a soft ceiling for the Destiny gaming experience that requires social interaction to exceed. So thus not permitting players such as myself, who don't have the time or desire to round up a group of teenagers & 20 somethings to access the full spectrum of content that I have paid for. Which is frankly garbage. Legally speaking the term is "Failure of Consideration" as by not allowing all gamers to readily access all portions of the game, Bugie is withholding services which were purchased by each and every Destiny owner, thus they are failing to perform a portion of the implied contract that accompanies the purchase of the game in the first place. I'm quite sure I never saw a notice anywhere suggesting that online collaboration was required to access the entirety of the game. I'm not suggesting Bungie should be sued (although I bet anyone $1 it would work, and we would finally get matchmaking for the masses.) I just think Bungie should be cool and open up matchmaking to everything. For this reason, until they do, I'm not giving them any more money for any game. I suggest anyone who feels the same follow suit. Thanks for reading.
