I'm noticing an irritating trend in the game-- yet again indicative of a grind mentality (Activation you really need to mature your understanding of games like this-- we've moved into the 3D realm. Steop design for 2D).
Trend: Play campaign until maxed, beating the baddest of the bad, and only then can you go on Raids, Weeklys, Crucible, or other events to gain the Armor and the Weapons you needed in order to be the Big bad in the first place.
Case in point: Deathsinger. Why the hell would I get Deathsinger armor after I've beaten Crota? I Needed it during fighting Crota as that's the only point at which its abilities come into play! Not AFTER. Talk about Cart before the horse.
Second Case. TTK. Will have to reach level 40, and beat Oryx along the way before I'm able to do Raids and get all those cool things I will need to beat Oryx to begin with.
Once I've killed the big bad, all the goodies are pointless, except for getting to use them in PvE just to make creatures suffer... heh heh. Just an observation IMHO.
*sigh*

Glad to see you're using the Bungie.net community to leave us feedback! We've created the #Feedback section for exactly this purpose. I'm gonna move your thread over there where you're more likely to get seen by the team. Good hunting, Guardian!

Isn't the Raid gear needed to do the Hard mode variant? Its not like you have to play normal mode to get normal mode gear, and then hard mode to get hard mode gear. Normal mode to get the gear to do hard mode. It makes sense. This is "endgame content" in a nutshell.
-
Yeah, its a rather backwards mentality. The Raid Armor itself could stand to at least be something useful OUTSIDE of the raid you get it in.

Edited by RaveEX: 9/2/2015 7:30:18 PMDisagree. The first time a player fights Crota or any boss should be the hardest. It feels more epic that way imo. After you kill him, the game should make it easier on the player to beat the boss over and over again to lessen the grind, which is what the game ir currently doing by giving players gear specifically to make the raids easier.

100% agree! Of you can beat the end game content without end game weapons, you don't need end game weapons. And if end game weapons make the end game content easier, it's not really end game content anymore. Also nonsensical are games that save the most fun weapons for the last level, or worse, the last boss fight.

yknow, u make a good point. I think they want people to feel rewarded.

Or...it...could...be........fun?

#Feedback is the best place for this. The Devs are more likely to see it there

Yeah, I've been having a little trouble with this design too.
