The Starry Night ((Space Warfare)): A Galactic RP

((Attention: this RP is not my original idea. It is only a separate version of Soup's Space Warfare RP)) - Space is our final frontier. It is endless, and war is bound to come upon it. Humanity has been driven from inhabitable planets, now sailing the Starry Night in ships of metal and blasting engines. Intergalactic Governments have been formed to attempt to create their own kinds of "order" in an infinite universe, the most powerful being racially separated into the American Authority, the Russian Vlastvovali and the Chinese Jiāngōng, who send their drones and warships to either "suppress" criminal Pilots of these star-ships, or wage war against each other over Minerals. The people of the stars mine Minerals from different planets and moons and asteroids, which serve as a currency of varying values, while others prefer piracy and death, taking pleasure in looting and destroying other ships. But many ships are cannibalized by one another at the control of their Pilots, their hulls being destroyed by another's turrets or cannons, their scraps and salvageable resources collected as loot and currency to be sold for upgrades and more resources. Some drift through the star systems with other ships at their sides to conquer the odds, their Pilot's having formed an alliance, a thing more valuable than salvage and money in space. You are a Pilot among them, sailing your own star-steed through the Night, attempting to make a living for yourself. What is your breed? ((You must choose a Ship Type, Defense Type and Weapon Type before playing. Your Pilot is played by you (can be any of the three ethnicities/races), not an OC. All NPCs are controlled by admins)) SHIP TYPES: — Light Cruiser: A small cruiser built for high travel speed and sharp maneuvering. - Defense/ 1 ((Amount of Damage your ship can take before being destroyed)) Speed/ 5 ((How fast your ship is. If your Speed stat is higher than a pursuing enemy's in a chase, you can outrun them)) Size/ S ((The size of your ship)) Weapon Type/ Light ((Type of weapons your ship can equip)) Weapon Space/ 1 ((Amount of weapons your ship can equip at the same time. How many weapons a ship has equals how many targets it can attack simultaneously)) Personnel Space/ 3 ((Amount of people your ship can carry)) Cargo Storage/ 10 ((Amount of Resource and Mineral space can be taken up in your ship)) ° Heavy Cruiser: A reasonably large cruiser built for higher Personnel Space and high travel speed. - Defense/ 2 Speed/ 4 Size/ M Weapon Type/ Light Weapon Space/ 1 Personnel Space/ 6 Cargo Storage/ 12 ° Cargo Cruiser: A large cruiser built for very high Cargo Storage and good defense against small asteroids. - Defense/ 2 Speed/ 3 Size/ M Weapon Type/ Heavy Weapon Space/ 1 Personnel Space/ 4 Cargo Storage/ 300 ° Carrier: A very large cruiser built for very high Personnel Space and high Cargo Storage. Commonly used for intergalactic parties. - Defense/ 3 Speed/ 2 Size/ L Weapon Type/ Light Weapon Space/ 1 Personnel Space/ 35 Cargo Storage/ 100 ° Destroyer: A large combative ship with high firepower but low defense. Considered as a "glass-cannon." - Defense/ 2 Speed/ 2 Size/ M Weapon Type: Light or Heavy Weapon Space: 3 ((2 for Light, 1 for Heavy)) Personnel Space: 8 Cargo Space: 12 ° Fighter: ((RESERVED FOR FLEET WARRIORS ONLY)) A small combative ship built for high firepower and high travel speed. - Defense/ 2 Speed/ 4 Size/ S Weapon Type/ Light Weapon Space/ 1 Personnel Space/ 2 Cargo Storage/ 6 ° Dreadnought: ((RESERVED FOR FLEET COMMANDERS ONLY)) A humongous combative ship built for war. - Defense/ 12 Speed/ 1 S/ L Weapon Type/ Light or Heavy Weapon Space/ 6 Personnel Space/ 20 Cargo Storage/ 100 DEFENSE/SHIELDING TYPES: — Solid: Resistant to energy-based Weapons, splitting their damage dealt in half. Can be damaged by solid-based Weapons. ° Energy: Resistant to metal-based Weapons, splitting their damage dealt in half. Can be damaged by energy-based Weapons. WEAPON TYPES: — Light ((Solid)): - Gatling Turrets/ Fully automatic turrets which fire 20mm bullets. 1 Damage. Scatter Cannon/ A cannon which fires a high-area spray of 12mm bullets. Must be loaded after every shot. 1 Damage. ° Light ((Energy)): - Plasma Blasters/ Slowly firing fully-automatic blasters which fire small, super-heated blasts of plasmatic energy. 1 Damage. Shove Cannon/ A cannon which projects a focused blast of hyper-vibrational energy, which pushes small ships and asteroids. 1/2 Damage. ° Heavy ((Solid)): - JAAR Cannon/ A large cannon which fires 12-foot long, 6-foot thick bullets. Must be reloaded after every shot. 3 Damage. Missile Salvo/ A cannon which fires a barrage of homing missiles, which will loose track of targets if targets maneuver themselves too dramatically. 2 Damage. ° Heavy ((Energy)): - Gauss Cannon/ A large cannon which fires a single long-ranged laser of focused ionic energy. 3 Damage. Tsunami Cannon/ A cannon which projects a large shockwave of violent hyper-vibrational energy which can obliterate size S and M ships and asteroids and push Size L ships and asteroids. 2 Damage to Size L objects. • Ship and Pilot Creator: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/150341634/0/0/1 Systems and Hub Guide: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/150343727/0/0/1 Ship Upgrade List: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/150377186/0/0/1 Mineral and Resource Guide: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/150350324/0/0/1 War Logs: Coming soon... • LAWS: — Paying/ Pilots may acquire upgrades at Terminals by either paying with Mineral Values or by trading the right Resources ((ship-parts, sometimes Minerals, etc.)). ° Collecting/ Collecting Minerals from planet surfaces or destroyed ships takes time. If you create a post stating that you search something for loot, a narrative admin will reply over a series of moments, telling you what items you acquire one reply at a time. They will also tell you if your Storage is full and/or if you have looted/mined everything. This process can be quickened with the right upgrades. ° Warping/ Every ship is equipped with a warp-drive which enables the ship to travel at light-speed. When activated, this device must charge for a moment while all other engines and drives are off before it fully activates, leaving the ship vulnerable to attacks or other ship interactions while charging. This process can be quickened with the right upgrades. ° Defense/ If, for example, an Energy Weapon hits a Solid shielding of a ship, the Energy Weapon's damage dealt will be split in half because it has hit a shielding of opposite material. Same mechanic goes for Solid Weaponry hitting Energy shielding. ° Maneuvering/ If a ship has maneuvering and a Speed of at least 5, like a Light Cruiser, it may dodge attacking projectiles if it executes the right rolls and flips. No ship can dodge Shove or Tsunami Cannons, though. ° Chasing/ If a chase ensues between a chasing ship and a chased ship, there will be one of 3 outcomes: a Chase, in which both ships have the same Speed ((the chasing ship can use Light Weapons here)) and the chased ship will be pursued until it executes the right maneuvers to escape the chasing ship; a Catch, in which the chasing ship has a higher Speed than the chased, so the chased ship cannot escape; and an Outrun, in which the chased Ship has a higher Speed than the chasing, so it escapes successfully. ° Dogfighting/ If a ship with one Weapon Space is to attack something, it must be frontally facing their target. If a ship has more than one Weapon Space, it can attack from any angle. If PvP ensues, Pilots must only make one attack on one opposing ship at a time. ° Fleet Building/ If you want to make a Fleet, you must either travel the Night in search of NPCs to recruit or contact other players and recruit them, or both. A Fleet must have at least 12 members to be officially created ((any group lower than that is considered a Party)). To establish it's existence, you must make a post stating "THE ________ FLEET HAS BEEN ASSEMBLED. FLEET MEMBERS ARE ___, ___, ___, ___, ___, ___, ((etc.))." Once a Fleet has been created, it may acquire Fleet-reserved ships. ——— And remember: ADMINS ARE WATCHING. ((HickoryHamMike, Soup, EthericBlight))
