I just lost it...and that's something that's not naturally in my nature.
I've gotten all 3 characters to Iron Iron Banner level 5 and played well beyond that on all three toons, looking for a spear drop. Been busting my ass, and the amount of time I've put in....my god the TIME. Just finished a grueling match, that we barely lost and the guy that CAUSED us to lose the match (0 kills 24 deaths) gets an ash factory AND a spear.
The frustration level was severe and all at once, it startled me., I know awards (drops) are "totally random (whatever)"...but there is a point at which the heart (feelings) can steamroll logic. I just discovered that point in myself, and it cost me:
1. a laptop screen - shattered with the controller
2. a controller - shattered against the stone hearth over my fireplace
3. a ps4 - obliterated on the driveway
Thank you Bungie
UPDATE
Wow, I didn't expect this to grow legs or gain traction. First off, I did shatter my laptop screen with the controller, but that wasn't my intent. I did then hurl the controller to it's death. I did NOT, however, destroy my PS4 on the driveway...but i'd be lying if I said the thought didn't cross my mind.
The responses have been interesting and surprising. I game with a lot of people and for a vast majority of them (75 - 85%) the rage they experience is often and extreme...especially during IB. So my intent was to vent some of my own frustration and possibly allow others to do the same, free from the fear of ridicule...at least from me. That, for 95% of the responses, failed miserably. There sure seems to be a staggering number of self-righteous people out there.
Anyway, it's not about a gun, or a game. It's about the investment of time and effort and an expectation (right, wrong, or retarded) or hope for some type of return on that investment.
I do have a spear, got it last time, but i didn't get the perfect roll so I figured I'd try to earn another one this time to reroll...there's not a whole hell of a lot to do in destiny right now, I've done it all.
I threw the controller out, but here ya go...

It's been a rough iron banner bro... We're here for you..
-
I got 2 spears dropped so far and I don't need them. Also a lash with a great roll.

Please don't visit Las Vegas
-
I swear to god it gives the bottom two players the best awards, everytime I have seen an exotic drop in crucible, it was to either 5th or 6th (I have seen 6 or 7 drop)
-
Coming first only SLIGHTLY tilts the odds in your favor. But really? The spear is crap anyways.
-
Bungie - we fixed the pvp drop system Gamers - Well it doesn't look like it. Guy comes bottom gets ghorn, losing team mostly get rewarded like WTF bungie. Bungie - "No reply" throw money at screen & buy TTK. We promise to fix crucible for a price.
-
I still don't believe Bungie actually did anything significant to the loot system. I've never noticed any general trends about better players earning better gear.
-
For some reason the people at the bottom consistently get better shit, I hate that. It's a pattern and there's no way that it's not planned.
-
I violated the Code of Conduct and defeated the Ninja sent to serve Justice.

Because someone got drops you thought they didn't deserve? Classic feggit shit.
-
So what is dropping this lovely Iron Banner? I know Felwinters and Wrath are being sold but what's dropping?
-
You don't get IB drops when you lose.

Idiot
-
o. shit.

Not sure why you even want the spear quite frankly. It can't roll armor piercing rounds anymore (which have been severely nerfed anyway) and it has the lowest aim assist of all the snipers at 10 - unless you want to prove your skill then more power to you. As far as being competitive, Her Benevolence is the #1 right now having the highest possible aim assist while also being able to roll unflinching AFAIK. What I find hilarious is last I checked, Eye of Sol actually has the most assist and yet it's a Trials weapon. That's basically bungie admitting that you need to play like a scrub/use broken ass weapons to be good. I feel your pain though. Took me forever to get a Radegasts Fury before. Not sure why anyone's even bothering with IB now though given that TK will change evertyhing and these weapons will all be worthless in the new IB at level 40.

I understand that rage SO much, and I am a very level-headed guy. There are times when I want to squeeze the controller and twist it like would do with a towel or rag. I also at times literally get a visual of throwing my controller at my television. Whew - that felt good to admit... :)

Edited by III R17 III: 8/29/2015 11:34:40 AMYou see, I don't understand why people are still doing IB when everything we've currently got becomes obsolete in 2 weeks. If you're a collector, then I understand, but the spear was being sold last IB if I'm correct... Just saw your edits... Why don't you re roll your current Spear? Also, if you're getting frustrated with the game or any other game, then it's best to turn everything off, and go do something else. Now, you're going to waste God knows how much for a new controller, and repair your laptop if you care that it's cracked.

.........
scrub
I feel you, buddy. And so do two damaged controllers, coincidentally.
-
Just turn the game off and do something else. That's what I do after I saw how expensive crap is

The nerd rage is strong with this one.
