And it has been since whenever we humans have been fashioning tools out of our environment, intelligently designing stone, metal, wood, plastic, etc. to our needs and desires. It's fascinating how far we've come in maybe a dozen thousand years, when it took us 13.7 billion years to get there in the first place, with no intelligence to guide our evolution, just our environment to shape us over millions of generations.
