I've created multiple resources to help you create a Exotic weapon or armor as well as allowing great community ideas become easily accessible. I will have a list of my favorite Exotic ideas from the comments in the spoiler boxes below. They will all be formatted neatly to conserve space, allowing me to feature dozens of entries.   • Kabr's Skull. You equip it in your heavy slot but it cannot be used or fired in any way (other than holding it like a prop from a Shakespearean play). It allows you to equip an exotic in both your primary and secondary slot.

      I posted this on another thread but here's mine. It is a Dark Souls reference. Stride Of The Abysswalker Exotic Hunter Boots Description-"He made a pact with the beasts that reside within so he could traverse the Dark."- A line from a myth in a forgotten land. Perks- Heavy Weapon Ammo Exotic Perk- Art of Abysswalking- Get extra agility and grants Shadowstep to Nightstalkers. Stats- Intellect and Discipline Design- Similar to VoG hunter boots. Instead of the plastic looking armor on the legs it has plate armor. The plate is pitted and aged. The base color is black for the legs and the plate is silver. I will edit if I get more ideas. Abysswalker Plate Exotic Titan Chestpiece Description- "He had an unbreakable will of steel."- Line from a myth in a forgotten land Perks- Increased Primary and Special Ammo Exotic Perk- Unbreakable- Increased armor and increases duration for Ward of Dawn. Stats-Intellect and Discipline Design- It is basically the chest piece from the Artorias Set from Dark Souls. Base color would be black Cowl of The Abysswalker Exotic Warlock Helmet Description- "He fought the Abyss alone. What he found broke him and corrupted his very being.- A line from a myth in a forgotten land Perks- Snap Discharge and Scholar's Draw Exotic Perk- Abyssal Corruption- Increases the power of all Void based abilities. Stats- Intellect and Discipline Design- Similar to the helm of Artorias from Dark Souls. HUNTER (GUNSLINGER) Helmet Eternal Fire "May the fire last longer and stronger" Perk 1 Infusion "Replenishes health each time you pick up an Orb of Light" Perk 2 Ashes to Asset "Replenishes super energy when you kill an enemy with a grenade" Exotic Perk It Will Live "Golden Gun lasts longer. Increased armor during golden gun" (+7 seconds) (+20% armor)

      • Pahanin's emergency gloves: these gloves look very familiar to the vanguard gloves, but have a blue tint to them, as well as having glass shards protruding from them, and they also add an electrified blade to your belt, looking similar to your knife when you are in bladedance. "in small bursts, I discovered arc light can propel you forward, but in chaotic fashion" first perk: melee kills increase grenade energy second perk: melee kills increase super energy exotic perk: Cadent Chaos (Destiny riddlers will get the reference :P ) after sprinting for a short time, you can dash forward and deal massive damage with an arc infused blade as bladedancer. (exact same thing as shoulder charge, but will less homing ability, and it is a dash forward with a backhanded slash with your arc infused knife)

        • hunters: Pahanin's caution: exotic hunter helmet "can you blame me for being safe?" first perk: infusion second perk: melee hits restore grenade energy Exotic perk: caution: take more damage from damage to your front, less from your sides, least from your back. (in multiplayer, it takes 4 handcannon shots from the back, 3 headshots and one body shot from the side, and two headshots from the front.) helmet appears to be the remains of a dead orbit helmet, torn apart, and bolted back together again, with leather replacing where metal should be. painted over the dead orbit insignia is now what appears to be an upside down hunter insignia Pahanin's Safety: exotic hunter chest piece: "to complement the new gun I have made, I needed a way to produce ammunition" this chest piece has the base of the "crest of alpha lupi" but with multiple knifes strapped to it, some with broken blades, some with long blades. it is also spray painted with random colors, but pieces of metal, again, make out an upside down hunter insignia first perk: carry more ammo for special weapons exotic perk: very good advice: bladedancing refills your heavy ammo over time, with every second it is active giving you back either 1/10 of your machine gun ammo, or 1 rocket. this ammo stays even after death in pvp IF you die while your super is still active. Pahanin's escape tactics: "I always have a way out" exotic hunter legs these legs appear to be dusty remains of the old dead orbit legs, but with pieces of metal that were strapped on to it teleporting to different locations on the leggings. it also includes a glowing upside down hunter insignia first perk: carry more ammo for primary weapons exotic perk: escape tactics: provides an additional blink for bladedancers (regardless of extra jump already chosen, with the skill tree jump taking priority. it allows blink to be used twice in rapid succession, with a separate cooldown for each blink.) forgotten hero's gauntlets exotic hunter gauntlets these gauntlets look like the titan gauntlets "no back up plans" but without the void light. instead, this is replaced with multiple moving pistons and such, with an faint arc energy glow. very faint though. "who were these dedicated to again?" first perk: increase reload speed with primary weapons second perk: increase reload speed with special weapons exotic perk: back up plans: kills with guns as a gunslinger increase that guns stability and reload speed for short time. (6 seconds, can stack two times, every kill RESETS the cooldown.) (will come out with pahanin gauntlets soon!)

        • Warlocks: Praedyth's Wisdom: "he was a master of the void, standing on the line of insanity and sanity, but he controlled it" warlock gauntlets: they look like the vanguard gloves pre HoW, but have stones attached onto them, stuck on with void light seeping through the cracks. the tip of the gloves are gone, exposing the hands, but when using your super your hands glow with pure void energy. first perk: gain more super energy when picking up motes of light second perk: increase reload speed with pulse rifles exotic perk: control of the void: novabomb deals more damage on a direct hit, and by keeping the super button held down after casting it, you can move the novabomb at your will! using the left stick to change your camera, the right stick for forwards, backwards, and sideways movement, you can hold R2 to move the novabomb upwards, and L2 to move it downwards, and you can slowly walk by using the directional buttons, it allows you to control the novabomb! you also take less damage in this trance, but are very vulnerable without the use of your guns. Praedyth's Discipline "he was patient, always staying perfectly still, unflinching" exotic warlock helmet this helmet is not really a helmet, but rather, pure void light in the form of a casual warlock helmet, with a black screen covering your face. it emits void pulses occasionally, just for show. first perk: kills with grenades decrease melee cooldown second perk: kills with melee decreases grenade cooldown exotic perk: Discipline Chaos: allows novabomb to be charged, eventually reaching enough power to deal 3x damage and have a 2x blast radius. you can also slowly move in this stage, but releasing the super buttons launches the novabomb. lance is also provided for novabomb. Praedyth's Mastery "He was the greatest voidwalker I had ever seen, none could rival him" exotic warlock chest piece: this chest piece appears to be a basic vanguard HUNTER chestpiece, with a warlock cloak attached to it, and warlock signs painted over the hunter markings. it also has runic scriptures carved into it. the cloak is a deep blue, with a few tears in it. first perk: carry more special ammo exotic perk: Ancient Mastery: novabomb becomes three orbs that follow you around, hovering and circling you. they each deal 1/3 the amount of damage as normal novabomb, with half the blast radius. you can use them as defensive shields, as they can take up to 600 damage each in multiplayer, the equal amount for pve depending on level, before exploding, causing damage in an area around you. or, by pressing the super buttons, you will launch one "minibomb" in the direction you are facing. you can do this up to 3 times, once per bomb. dying will cause the remaining minibombs to explode, causing serious damage in an area around you. they one hit kill in multiplayer with a direct hit. lance is provided, but they don't move any faster than normal. Praedyth's Knowledge "he always kept secrets, mysteries. I wish he had time to tell us some of them" exotic warlock boots these warlock boots have cabal plating, hive skins, vex metal, and fallen armor strapped and bolted onto them, they emit a spooky sound and black goop crawls up and down them slowly. first perk: carry more ammo for heavy weapons exotic perk: unrevealed knowledge if you die with your super, you can self rez, releasing an area of void damage around you, and you only comeback with 1/6 of your health bar. your armor, recovery, and agility are also decreased for 20 seconds after rezzing. rezzing uses up your super, and the blast is a one hit kill to nearby enemies in pvp, and any survivors are launched backwards with extreme force.

[b]From here we go[/b] (striker) (gauntlets) Perk 1 - melee hits restore grenade energy Perk 2 - when an enemy is hit with shoulder charge, they fly backwards and can hit nearby targets. They expose on impact and proximity.

            Titan gauntlets: Kabr's Fury: appear as normal new monarchy gauntlets, but with pieces of vex armor strapped to them by simple leather. the gloves on them always glow with arc light, but not very strongly. they sometimes crackle with a small lighting bolt along the gauntlet: first perk: carry more ammo for heavy weapons second perk: infusion Exotic Perk: Kabr's Fury: Fist of havoc turns into a mobile super, allow you to smash down with one fist at a time up to 4 times, and at the very end allows you to smash with both fists. to use fist of havoc like normal, just hold down the super button. downsides: the blast radius is reduced by 65%, and damaged is reduced by 60%, one hitting people in pvp, unless they have even one overshield active. if you choose to use the double fist smash at the end, the damage is returned to normal, but blast radius stays the same. and upgrades to fist of havoc are rendered useless. (after the 4 smash, you have 3 seconds to use the super smash) Kabr's Courage: exotic titan leggings first perk: extra primary ammo exotic perk: Kabr's Courage: deal more damage to enemies with buffs active. this refers to buffs such as "blessing of light" or the servitor health regen to nearby fallen. it also includes enraged knights and ogres, and enraged bosses. it also applies to enemies using supers such as blade dancer and sunsinger. Kabr's Honor: exotic titan chest piece: first perk: carry more special ammo second perk: grenade kills give you super energy exotic perk: Kabr's Honor: increases Armor (gives double the amount of extra armor as the ram does, cause titans are suppose to be titans) and all striker melee hits have a chance to recharge storm fist. Kabr's Eternality Exotic Titan Helmet: "he is Eternal. the vex tried to erase him, but you cannot erase true legends" first perk: increase super energy with a melee kill second perk: increase super energy from grenade kills Exotic Perk: Forever legendary: Fist of havoc's blast radius is multiplied by 3, but recharge is slowed by 20% using fist of havoc also shines an extremely bright light for all players in the same area, and players in your fireteam, even if they are on the other side of mars. this lasts only for a second, and has no other effects. it applies to all players, enemies and friends. it does not blind them, it is just a flash that stays on scream for about 2 milliseconds. just for show and to express how powerful the blast was. controllers also vibrate and screen shakes. EDIT: all of these look like normal, pre how, new monarchy armor with vex armor attached to them, with the exception of the helmet, which is the new monarchy helmet pre how with vex armor strapped on, but it has a vex hydra eye attached to it, similar to the raid helmet, but this one is blue, and each piece occasionally has lighting bolts surge through them. the helmet in particular, has a brighter bolt, and the eye turns red when your super is ready.

              • Darkness Actualized Exotic Primary Jet black smoke in the shape of a gun. Randomly changes weapon type, especially during PvE. Exotic perk allows you to fine tune the stats whenever you want. In PvP it can sometimes change into the weapon type you need the most at that moment.

                • as I do this with every "make an exotic thread" I will be posting my signature 'ragnarok' fusion-pistol name: Ragnarok class: fusion-pistol Dmg: arc (aside from the bullets being red fusion rifle bolts) description: "only one gun was ever able to rival the sheer innovative power of the first word . . . ." stats: Charge rate: 82 impact: 98 range: 32 stability: 14 reload: 21 mag size: 7 aim assist: 43 first perk: focused fire perk tree: custom optics enhanced battery high caliber rounds exotic perk: doombringer: precision kills with this weapon cause this weapon to deal more precision damage on next target. kills with this gun increase reload speed and jump height for a short time Bonus perks: Icarus Explosive rounds looks: base: redhand, widen and shorten accuracy barrel at tip by 50%, sights are a blue dot with occasional purple, curved energy lines circling it. change color to a dark grey all around, add on red tron lines to the body, but more chaotic, in a lighting shape. when fired the gun emits a red fusion rifle charge burst for a short time, soon after releasing a single, pure red, fusion rifle bolt. when fired, the lighting lines glow very bright, and will occasional shift position and direction. the grip has a handguard in front of it, forming a (_[] look with the grip. the gun has a small knife, laying horizontally, extending about 3 inches past the tip of the gun, strapped to the bottom of the gun. gun has an increased echo effect when fired. shots sound hollowed and empty, similar to thorn, but with a more "tech sound" base.

                      • Had an idea for a titan exotic helm! I was trying to think of something overpowered (within reason) for the defender titan... Perk 1, choice of either you can shoot through your own bubble, or your allies can if you are not receiving blessing/armour/weapons of light (you're not in a bubble). Perk 2, choice of generate more orbs for allies, or generate orbs only for yourself. This is a selfish/selfless perk choice, which could be interesting in a team... Way op for single player stuff though!

                          Hoo-dini hunter boots -Carry more heavy ammo - Turn comepletely invisible for 5 seconds when shot during those 5 seconds meleeing(lol) does 6x damage and triggers jump scares. When shot other players all hear " Hoo-dini" from the distance.

                          Lights Bend A plain looking black sidearm with an extended barrel. Exotic side arm Arc damage Low RoF with high impact and decent range. 7 round magazine. [i]Your ghost is not the only ghost on the battlefield.[/i] Starting perks: always have ammo on respawn. Shooting this weapon does not alert enemies. First perk: hidden hand Exotic perk: critical kills cloak the user. (Arc damage because invisibility effects seem to be based around arc)

Column 1: Aggressive Ballistics, Field Choke, Linear Compensator Perk 1: Hip Fire Column 2: Quickdraw, Snapshot, Injection Mold Exotic Perk: "The Scar" - landing a precision hit will refill the magazine Handcannon archetype - Ill Will, Timur's Lash etc. Stability: Average Reload: Very slow Magazine size: 1 (hence the perk, landing a precision hit will allow for another shot without reloading) In short, this handcannon thrives on sharp shooting and critical hits.

This ability recharges every 30 seconds. Looks rather similar to the Apotheosis Veil, but rather than the blue visor, the face of the mask is white with light being emitted from the front, and is also hooded. [spoiler]Exotic detail info: A Type II Supernova is a variant of supernova that involves the rapid collapse, then a massive explosion from a star. SNR is short for "Supernova Remnant", which is the cloud of ejected matter that results from a Supernova.[/spoiler]

                                    Here's something I posted in another thread: Harbinger [i]There's a storm on the horizon...[/i] Arc sniper rifle Rate of Fire: 12 Impact: 37 Range: 100 Stability: 26 Reload: 32 Magazine: 4 1st Perk: Spray and Play Upgrade Tree: High Caliber Rounds Fitted Stock Flared Magwell Exotice Perk: Coming Storm Increased reload speed. The final round of the magazine marks an enemy for ten seconds, causing this weapon to deal x5 damage to that target on the next shot. Happy to take suggestions for weapon rebalancing. The top-of-the-line impact and extremely high damage from "Coming Storm" is meant to be evened by the low stability and a reload speed to rival Ill Will. Plus, because only the final round carries the exotic perk, that means you have to reload before actually taking advantage of the perk, giving the target a chance to flee. Because without any perks, the reload for this weapon is probably almost ten seconds anyway (most snipers have a reload above 50), I put in Spray and Play and Flared Magwell.
