Starting level in The Taken King
I have heard a wide variety of opinions about this. Some people assumed that they would enter into the Taken King at whatever level they currently were (for most of us that will be 34). Some thought we would enter in at level 20.
However, I have heard nothing conclusive from any publicly released information. So here's my argument.
I don't believe we can enter into The Taken King at any level greater than 20. This is because our level currently depends on our armour.
Say I'm level 34 now. If I break down all my legendary and exotic armour, how will I enter The Taken King? Will it be at the highest level I've ever achieved, and if so, what does that really mean? Does that include light levels, or not?
But I don't believe that a character at level 20 will enter into The Taken King at level 34. Plus, why would Bungie deprive us of the chance to earn thirty new experience levels?
These are my thoughts. What are yours?

If your titan was 26 but hunter 34, your titan will start at 26 and your hunter 34. Each player will be allowed to advance 1 character to the minimum level required to play ttk. This was included for reasons like new players so they can jump right into ttk, players that left in their low 20s and are coming back, or current players with some characters that are behind other characters.
