So TTK has got me wondering. What if Destiny 2 is just a GIANT DLC like the TTK. It would mark the end of last gen support and would inject a wealth of new content into the game while updating older material ? WHY THIS MIGHT BE THE CASE -Bungie has stated they want Destiny to be as big as Star Wars or Lord of the Rings. What better way to do this? -This is a perfect way to link content over the next 10 years. -Content would not be locked behind older titles EVERYTHING WOULD BE AVAILABLE. Imagine hoping back in the VoG in year8 -Everything would be one GIANT STORY. From year 1-10. -Looking at it financially Bungie could update the current Destiny servers with this content instead of creating new ones and having 2 separate communities on two separate Destiny titles which would double server cost to keep both of them up. Eventually Destiny 1 server support would end on last gen systems obviously. WHY IT WOULD BE COOL -Imagine how gigantic the planetary selection menu would be! -NO disc swapping to play older content! -Bungie could incorporate 60 FPS into the old content when last gen is cut off. -Areas could be expanded -Multiple areas per planet. {Old Russia, Old Chicago} -It would give the impression of a giant universe with a wealth of locations and activities! -ONE GIGANTIC COMMUNITY. I really hope Bungie goes this route and just keeps adding material instead of another individual purchase I think this would really help the scope of the game in some amazing ways. Would love to hear some community input.
