Burning Crusade is coming out! Guess what!
All my level 60 raid items well now be utterly useless! I'm new to MMOs and I want to play all the way up to Warlords of Draenor using my level 60 raid items :(

10 RepliesProblem is that Destiny isn't an MMO. There's so little content in this game that making previous content redundant is a huge chunk of the game being cut out. No point doing the VoG raid or CE raid when you can jump straight to 40. In an actual MMO, you still need to do those raids as the progression doesn't let you jump from 1 to max level. Also this is a game with guns that handle differently and gave unique abilities. As opposed to swords that just go up in damage with new expansions dropping. People are going to miss the Fatebringer explosions and Black Hammer ammo. So if there was a new gun with the new damage cap but with the same ability then people wouldn't complain, but that's not how this game works. All you and Bungie have done is just shown how little you understand game design.

31 RepliesJust knock it off with the MMO shit. Destiny isn't an MMO and Bungie has never called it one. And you're correct, most of us haven't played an MMO. We're console kids and we enjoy extended play or replayability. Most of us aren't looking for this much repetitive grinding to suddenly have our efforts nullified.Your argument doesn't apply to 90% of Destiny players.

I could care less what changes come the next DLC since I was done with Destiny four months ago, but comparing this POS to a game like WoW is insulting to WoW. If you want a console MMO go check out ESO ... what Destiny should have been (but in sci fi FPS skin).

ppl can be upset about no Fatebringer all they want. It doesn't beat the depression of seeing Shadowmourne sit in my bank...never to taste the blood of deathwing...or put Garrosh in his place....or aid me in the constant grind for apex crystals in Tanaan Jungle...Or fight the hordes of the legion as I storm the Hellfire Citadel to face down and finally defeat Gul-IS THAT ARCHIMONDE!?!

oh man I'm so depressed all the tier 3 gear from naxx is going to be useless once i hit 70 what ever will i do with my life without some kind of ability to ascend my gear... pfft just kidding ive played plenty of mmos and loot based games ppl need to suck it up and learn that with new expansions and raid tier comes new gear meant to invalidate the old gear

If I had started playing on the release of the Lich King, I'd have been pissed about BC gear becoming invalid. It all looked so cool. gear went downhill imo, along with the game.

6 RepliesSorry pal, but blizzard didn't release 3 expansions in like a year that nullified previous gear. And the new gear that did come out was MILES better than the old gear.

2 RepliesDid you play vanilla? Great game.. UBRS and LBRS were brilliant and a challenge for quite some time. MC and BWL were an even bigger challenge and the content stretched easily to the next expansion by the time they became farmable. You had fishing, cooking, mining and loads more to keep you busy and make things to give boosts. Awesome. They then opened AQ20 & AQ40 which also imo were enjoyable. Then came TBC (The burning crusade) Horrific, alot of people quit me being one of them. Returned for WotLK, game had gotten worse. In short, lets give Destiny a chance and not compare it to games that become worse expansion by expansion
