I just want to know why we finally get word of this. I'm a hardcore gamer, I grinded out destiny to get what I want and to get ready for the DLC. Bungie keeps messing up and this last foul up did it for me. I grew attached to these year 1 weapons and the gear, just to learn I wasted my time. It should reward you for playing so long and getting what you want, not bend you over and take everything from you. I'm pretty sure bungie does not play their own game, they only listen to people who complain about how HARD destiny is. It was an awesome game but now its garbage. Its so easy to level up and its becoming a game for children. They'll probably change it later so you can use old gear again but its too late. I know many people who are furious to learn all their time was wasted playing since launch. So glad new games will be releasing soon.
