Simple question? Which subclass has the worst grenades? I think this is a pretty easy question. Just wondering if people agree with me.
Edit 1: Seems like a very controversial topic. Most people seem to think Gunslinger's are the worst (my choice)
Keep the discussions coming
Edit 2: I never realized this was such a controversial topic. Arguments are getting heated. Defenders have take a slight lead.

Gun slingers have great grenades, you guys are crazy

The only option here is bladedancer. Flux grenade: worst tracking of all sticky nades. I mean you have a better chance with sticking enemies with a tripmine. It also doesn't one shot Ram warlocks even when it sticks to them. One of the lowest damage abilities in the game. Hell, scorch melee does more damage than this pile of trash. Skip grenade: Rave! And that's about it. It's the kind of grenade that thinks it's an option and is used by about .2% blade dancers. Ever. It's so bad. Arc bolt: it's decent. But only chaining 3 enemies with a smaller range than firebolt and doesn't apply a DoT. It's ok for PvP and does little damage compared to things like tripmine, magnetic, or the strongest of the bunch, fusion. It's an ok nade. But when you take in to account two complete shit grenades and one that's okay, there's not much going for it. Gotta be blade dancer.

-
Idk how people don't like gunslinger nades, swarm is pretty good if you can aim and even better can be used to cut off your opponents. Trip mine does the most dmg of any grenade that isn't a "sticky" also allows you to cut off enemy. And incendiary is also great, has dot and does massive dmg if you are close. Yet defender has a light stick that does no dmg., a sticky, and one that is really only useful if your opponent is running or super'd..
-
Wtf is defender there

Edited by AWESOME DUDE NJS: 8/4/2015 6:25:32 AMAm I the only one the finds warlocks a tad overpowered? Just look at the poll, both subclasses have the best grenades, not to mention their melee range. I'm not trying to start a fight, but when they have the best of both useable abilities aside from super(debatable) I feel something is wrong

Edited by Gold: 8/4/2015 12:28:14 AMI think blade dancer has the worst grenades. Anybody think otherwise?
-
Edited by Elitespear: 8/4/2015 1:41:56 AMWent for defender because you either use a cheesy grenade or one that doesn't work properly. Spike grenade is just...well not worth considering. Gunslinger would be close but tripmine is beast.

Now, defender grenades are pretty bad. The only great one is the magnetic grenade, but the rest are kind of situational. Bladedancer grenades are pretty bad too, though. I have literally witnessed my Flux Grenade curve around people, and the skip grenade is really meh. Arc bolt is the only good one. But Gunslingers? We suffer. First we have Incendiary grenades, which are average. You have to hope for a nice bounce, and even then, they're nothing to write home about. The splitting grenade has to be right on target to work. Tripmines might be my favorite grenade in the game, but they're dangerous to their user.

Why is gunslinger up there!?! Do you even tripmine bro?

To all the people who think Voidwalker grenades suck. Vortex: It's a pretty subtle grenade. Most of the time, it's not really a grenade you're expecting to kill with. Instead, it's excellent for blocking off key points in the map. A simple vortex grenade to block off a doorway to let your team take a capture node, or a vortex placed on a capture node to prevent the enemy from taking it. It's especially good in tight maps like Thieves' Den. Scatter: In pvp, without Nothing Manacles it's kinda meh. I wouldn't use it without previously mentioned exotic. In pve, though, it does huge damage, and has a pretty wide blast radius (?). Best voidwalker pve grenade by far (though in something like the abyss i would totally use vortex). Axion: This is more of a grenade to make people run away instead of hurt them. But with bloom and thrown in areas where several people are fighting, it can catch people off guard.

Supressor and magnetic grenade are 2 top 5 grenades
-
I laugh at gunslinger being second worst. Tripmines in control are insane!
-
axion bolt + bloom = lmao

Edited by Swift029: 8/4/2015 12:54:46 AMI actually like all of defenders grenades. Dislike sunsinger's grenades
-
Edited by SnakePayne86: 8/4/2015 12:47:58 AMI' think the sunsinger has the best grenades but the bladedancer's arcbolt with the lucky raspberry is probably the best single grenade in da game.
-
Subclass with best grenades in order 1) Striker 2) Sunsinger 3) Defender 4) Bladedancer 5) Gunslinger 6) Voidwalker Striker grenades are all great in basically any situation Sunsingers would be #1 if solar grenade wasnt so bad Defender has some of the strongest grenades. Magnetic does the most damage of all stickies and suppressor can completely wipe out supers or enemies Bladedancer is #4 because of how good arcbolt is Gunslinger is #5 because of incidenary and tripmine nade Voidwalker is last because none of their nades are even effective Vortex is way too avoidable and weak Scatter is trash without nothing manacles And axion bolt is too slow and sometimes does little to no damage
-
As someone who mained a hunter since the beta, I really feel that tripmines are hands down the best grenade.
-
Only thing that saves Defender is the magnet grenade. The only reason I rank it as better than gunslinger.
-
Wtf defender has awesome grenades lol
-
I can't see how defenders are even on this list magnetic grenades are great, run in a room throw and get a kill. To me gunslinger has the worst
-
Defender has a sticky grenade I call them win grenades because you can't lose with them
-
Tripmine grenade + Lucky raspberry + maxed discipline = very effective. I voted defender btw.
-
Anyone who votes for sunsinger has issues
-
Who voted bladedancer. Like seriously
-
Sunsinger, Voidwalker, and Bladedancer should all be at zero %
