Thank you bungie for unjustly banning me for no reason. You took away something that I actually enjoyed doing, which is playing the crucible in a FAIR and NORMAL way. It is quite scary to me that the tools in which you are using to ban these people that you already have are quite INACCURATE to say the least. I never once manipulated servers writhing the crucible or even destiny as a whole. I do not even understand how to do this because I never even thought of doing so because I perform pretty well in crucible and never even thought of cheating in any way, nor would I even bother to figure out how. To me, that defeats the purpose of even playing a video game.
However, the fact that you do not tell people the reason for which you ban them is quite suspicious. It leaves the person (if they in fact are not a cheater like myself) wondering what exactly it is that they did wrong in the first place. There needs to be a better tool or team in order to hand out bans so that this type of bull crap does not happen again.
Please, if you are going to spam me with "I'm a cheater," just please do not even respond because you make yourselves sound dumb. And to further back my point, here is a video of gothalion even admitting some of his friends were wrongfully banned for playing the game legit.

So instead of calling everyone out who posts stuff like this on the forums and instantly assuming they cheated (although I understand some people actually did deserve the ban or restriction), we should actually be WORRIED about the ways in which bungie is going about banning people. It is unfair to players who are WRONGFULLY being banned.

3 RepliesI'd say you've partied with people who are cheating if your sure your not cheating yourself. Regardless the point I'd like to make here is to bungie and bungie alone. In the last 2 days your forum has exploded in hundreds of these "I've been banned" topics, polluting the forum and inciting more of the childish back and forths we've seen here recently. Whereas I agree with the bans I disagree with your (bungie's) lack of official word or personal explanation to those affected. The fact you have yet to release a statement other then the blanket statement you released the other day is pathetic on this matter. People are annoyed (some rightly and some wrongly) that they have been banned and your silence does nothing but fuel the flames on this forum hate. I have not been banned... Nor anyone I regularly game with so it doesn't directly affect me. I would say however that as customers of your product we are owed more then your childish statement "mighty swing of the ban hammer" I mean come on... We are not all 12 year old kids here. Treat us with some respect for gods sake

Did someone else use your account on your console to cheat in any way? Did someone else benefit from another cheater while using your account on your console? If the answer is 'no', then you already know the reason you were either Banned or Restricted by Bungie. If your answer is 'yes', find them and never let them use your account on your console in the future. What you and most do not know is the following: ever wondered how Destiny knows it is you playing despite using any console at any time? You have to login with your account. Ever wonder how you can use any computer anywhere to access your email? You have to input your account information. Wonder how Bungie fingered you? Your account information and console information is sent with every data packet during game play. It is how the game knows it is you at all times. It is how they know who to Ban or Restrict. It is not guess work. They use your data to finger you...

3 RepliesConsidering most people are confusing the reporting system with some sort of magical ban voting system, maybe you should put the righteous indignation away. Bungie has actually gone through, when they first handed out bans last year, the process of how someone gets banned. All reporting does is, if enough reports are submitted, alert people that someone may be doing something bad. After that point they monitor the gameplay of that person. Your ban or restriction comes as a result of someone seeing you screw around paired with or compared to past data that they might be able to pull up on your profile and connection. You got caught, you didn't get falsely banned, live with your choices, buh-bye

1 ReplyCould be that you were in a fireteam with someone using an exploit or network manipulation. Maybe someone from an LFG site or recruitment section here. Even though you may not have done anything at all, they just see it as you benefitting from the person cheating in your fireteam. Not saying this is the cause, but a possible scenario.

13 RepliesCouldn't have said it better myself. Something needs to be done about these absurd bans to committed players. But Bungie is content with randomly banning a few hundred to keep a few hundred thousand from throwing temper tantrums. The real problem lies in their reporting system. I'm almost positive everyone I ruin someone's card in trials or get in the top half of the leader board with anything less than a green bar, I get reported for cheating and everything else in the book. So I guess the real thanks goes to the toxic twelve-year-olds that play this game.
