How could anyone vote for a liberal after this idiot? Do any of you people realize how bad he is? Yet we voted for him twice! This video isn't even all the things that he's done, I just can't type/fit everything here so I brought it here to the flood to be discussed.

Definitely not the worst, definitely not the best, on the big list-o-presidents he's somewhere in the middle.

>implying Obama is worse than Andrew Jackson >implying what Obama did is worse than genocide >implying what Obama did is worse than treason >implying what Obama did is worse than Trail of Tears >mfw

Tuco agrees.

The reason the Obama presidency is getting so much hate is because... 1) More political polarization 2) Got a bad economy from Bush 3) Republicans blocked his actions in Congress (partly because of gerrymandering)
-
No, Bush was. Obama was dealt a terrible hand because of Bush's administration. Sure, Obama could've done a lot better with his hand, but he could've done a hell of a lot worse.
-
He's not a liberal, he's a center right establishment democrat, at best. He has done a lot of good for this country, though not as much as he could have if he wasn't as shy about politics.

Obama isn't actually that great of a president. In fact, he spent more money than even Bush. (Source): http://useconomy.about.com/od/usdebtanddeficit/p/US-Debt-by-President.htm That said, however, I personally don't think we have had a good president since Jimmy Carter. I blame this mostly on Reagan combined with the celebrity-culture that started in the 1980s. I believe that since then, presidential elections have become more about popularity contests and rhetoric than actual politics and reason. And what many people also don't realize is that prior to that time, the parties weren't so vastly opposed to each other. There were Democrats who had Republican ideas and Republicans who had Democrat ideas and universal issues that both parties agreed on. Reagan is the one who hijacked the Republican Party and made its platform about merely being opposed to everything associated with the Democratic Party. You'd be surprised by how much wiggle-room there was before then. In fact, my favorite president Republican Richard Nixon was the one who started the Environmental Protection Agency, some of the first affirmative action programs, and visualized an ambitious universal healthcare system not much different from Obamacare. None of this would ever fly in the Republican Party today, just as Jimmy Carter's economic deregulations and pro-life (ish) views would never fly in the Democratic Party today.
