I can understand engrams. But for PVP events like the Iron Banner, Events where the players are likely well above level 20, why the **** are player being rewarded with Blue gear?
Drop the Blue ****(except engrams), and cycle in some more Legendary stuff.
**** use the old Vanguard, Crucible, Faction store inventories.
Getting real sick of 0A0X crap cluttering my inventory.

I'm sure it is for weapon parts and other mats. Just in case pvp people don't farm them.

I understand rare gear in Crucible. Any character over level 5 can play and the level restrictions are disabled so a level 5 is no different than a level 34. However in IB, where levels matter, there should be no "rare" rewards period. The lowest level I ever see in IB is 27 (and they generally get owned) so the use for rare gear is moot. Drop the rare gear from IB and give more SC or motes as well as increase the frequency of legendary and exotic drops. Don't flood the game with a bunch of them but bump them up a little. Oh yeah, ENOUGH of the passage coins already. I have well over 100 over all characters.

I welcome that gear; it gives me my wire for my Hunter or whatever class I'm using.

hilarious spect my titan is human female my warlock is exo male and my hunter is human male, but dismantle blue shit 4 stuff

I think 2,000+ plasteel plating is enough for me.

There's a benefit to it. Because there's so many of them you can customize your load out. Example: I made a Titan with high discipline stats on my gear. I wore the exotic chest that gives me 2 grenades. I wore a helmet that gives me super when killing with grenades. There is legendary gear with these of course but you either have to grind for it for weeks or it doesn't have the right combo (scout rifle speed reload, melee hits restore grenade energy etc) to build it just right for you. It helps.

Did those rare weapons like the big chief get removed?

So you can dismantle the gear for the materials. Weapon parts and class materials etc.
