Tips for people playing Control/IB

Throw down some knowledge if you have tips that might help. I'm not the best by any means, but I feel like there are people playing IB right now that may not play in Crucible often or might be new. 1.) Certain maps are one sided. There are zones that actually be avoided despite the game mode being control, such as: -A on Shores of Time. There are great lines of sight for snipers when defending B and C. Travel time to each zone is quicker after spawn. You can defend multiple points of attack when holding B and C. Go for those two and avoid A. This map is VERY sniper heavy so watch yourself. Snipers will sit on the back platforms in-between B and C. Use cover on B and if rushing C caves. -C on Firebase Delphi. Same basic rules apply from Shores of Time. C is far away from the other zones. Heavy is further away from C than A. Holding and defending both A and B are easier than any other combination of zones. -A on Blind Watch. Most of the same rules for the other maps apply here too. A is a terrible place to spawn. B and C are easier to defend. Better sight lines for snipers, heavy is closer and has more cover. Can be a sniper heavy map too. -A on Anomaly. B and C are easier to control on this map. Short travel times in-between B and C. For some reason, people love to stand in the doorway coming from A facing B or across the map on the A ledge facing B. Heavy is well protected when controlling B and C. -C on Burning Shrine. Debatable, but mostly true imo. Most of the rules from all of the other maps apply here. Also, B is a killing field so get in, cap the zone, and get the hell out to defend it. Camping B will get you dead. I'm sure there are more, but these are the maps I've been stuck on the most. 2.) The object of the game is Control. It is NOT deathmatch. Do not feed the enemy kills by just blindly running around and dying. If you have two zones, just defend what you have. Push for a kill then fall back and defend. DO NOT triple cap the zones. Spawn will flip and one spawn flip can change the dynamic of a game drastically. 3.) Stick with your teammates. Generally, 3-4 v 1, the 1 will lose every time. Wait for teammates to create a more effective push towards a zone/area. 4.) A full team isn't required to cap the starting zone. Don't be afraid to push with 3-4 towards B (or whatever zone you choose I guess) I've played games where everyone pushed B, capped it, then one ran back to get A or C. Establishing dominance early can lead to a swift and easy victory. 5.) Please, please, PLEASE!! Unless you have a bubble buster(Fist of Havoc, Nova Bomb, Golden Gun) or are a Bladedancer with razors edge (it goes through the bubble btw), stay the hell away from Titan bubbles.Seriously, you will not beat a Titan using blessing/armor of light with a shotgun and Saint-14 inside a bubble. You will be blind and anyone in the bubble will have extra armor and will be able to see. It's literally that simple. If there's more than the Titan in the bubble, forget about it. Find a teammate and push somewhere else, or fall back to catch people outside of the bubble. Note: You can tell if a Titan using armor/blessing by a green bar above the health bar. Most titans will run this in Crucible, but at least look to see. Armor only works inside the bubble. Blessing will carry outside of the bubble. 6.) Know your loadout and it's strengths and weaknesses. Don't be afraid to switch weapons mid-game. Just because you start with Red Death and a sniper, doesn't mean you can't switch to Last Word and a shotgun if those fit the map better or you find yourself in a slump. Note: Switching weapons during death screen saves special ammo. 7.) Take a breath. Relax. Anyone who has played IB knows lag sucks. You'll shotgun someone to the face and they will turn around and kill you before the hit registers. You'll trade melee kills and shotgun kills all the time. Some hits just won't register. Destiny PvP is a little broken as far as connection strength goes. Unfortunately, that's just how it is right now. You will also be ported into games where you're losing 19000 to 400. It just happens. Take the coin and move on. Nothing else to really do about it. Godspeed Guardians. EDIT 1: Some points that others brought up!
SynysterSlayer: Heavy weapons make a huge difference not only for you, but for your enemy as well. Know your heavy ammo timers. It's usually 9 , 5:50, 2:40. If you have a super and it's close to this time don't waste it. Instead you should go bombard the enemy heavy. If you can manage to kill all of them and steal it, huge advantage. If the enemy team has 2 people pick it up because you died killing the rest of them, still a big advantage. If the enemy team has a double cap and you can't seem to break it, go for the other control point. I see a lot of teams just killing themselves trying to get B, when the whole enemy team is camping out B. Go right around and take A or C. Even if you don't cap it, it will draw off enemies from their camping spots to deal with you, allowing your team to move in on B.

WhoAteMyFunDip: 1. Cap 2 flags. 2. Draw an imaginary line down your opponents third of the map. 3. Do NOT cross said line under any circumstances. 4. Kill hopelessly spawn trapped enemies. 5. Win match.

Hood: Please, for the love of God WAIT for your team mates before you pick up heavy. Don't be an ass about it.

X1014 Using area denial grenades like the Lightning or tripmine grenade are useful in hectic situations. Nobody is going to run through a doorway when there is a well-placed tripmine or lighting grenade waiting to end them. Also, striker Titans should have aftershock to even further prove the point of "don't come in here" to the opponent
EDIT 2: Added another reply with info from chocmilkmonster's thread.
