Like many things in destiny, bungie seems to have completely forgotten what made their PVP great. Halo had an excellent multiplayer, and nerfing requests and OP complaints were never as bad as they are now. But there is a reason for that: Spartans are better than Guardians. Not in terms of looks, not in terms of abilities, but in terms of shields and health.
The crucible, IB and ToO are all suffering from the same problem: the same issue that makes almost all other PVP shooters completely impossible to play online, regardless of internet connection. The problem is that the Time-to-Kill is so short it's obnoxious. In Halo 1, the pistol could kill you in three hits, all headshots. Two for the shield, one in the brain. But hand cannons like thorn and TLW can kill you in two headshots. Bungie is going to try solving this issue by nerfing these guns and others across the board, including PVE. But the simpler, much more effective solution is to just buff Guardian health and shields in PVP activities. This would mitigate the effects of certain guns, without nerfing anything. And if the players who really just are not good in PVP lived a little longer and at least did a little more before dying, they might not complain as much on these forums. If you want to keep weapons balanced then reduce overall effectiveness by making guardians stronger, not by making certain weapons weaker and certain weapons stronger.
