I'm looking to buy a headset for my xbox one. I only want it for chatting. My TV gives me good sound quality so basically I couldn't care less if a headset has top of the line surround sound or whatever. My current headset, the Turtle Beach xp400 for xbox 360 with xbox one adapter cable breaks every couple months or so. I keep having to buy new adapter cables just to keep it working. Basically, I want something that's just reliable. Something that I won't have to keep buying new parts for. Any suggestions?

And I still use the headset that comes with the Xbox...

Too bad you can't just plug any headset into the controller...

I've got the Tritton Kama headset and I've had it since launch for xbox one, great quality for me and compared to turtle beaches, way cheaper, you can get them for both ps4 and xbox one

Edited by Nickel7Dime: 7/31/2015 5:47:57 AMMy girlfriend likes the astro headsets, they tend to be lighter, and they work very well (also the same ones the achievement hunters at roosterteeth use so you know they work well), they are also not overly expensive (unlike some turtle beach ones).

Go wireless it's worth investing in a decent headset even if you have a great sound system. If you want full immersion in the game you are playing. Wires are the weakest link with any headset, Turtle Beach, Trition or whatever you pick that's wired will fail eventually due to the stress on the wire. However for your purposes saying all that, the headset that comes with actual the Xbox is your best bet. Mine is still going strong and the design of the wire as its flat seems to negate the stress that usually causes them to fail.

I personally use turtle beaches and they have lasted for awhile :p
