Solo Crotas End
So I've put off attempting this for months and months now, but I gave it a shot earlier and pulled it off after many

Failures at the abyss/bridge jumps, I finally finished it. Didn't get my Deathsingers Mantle either
I'm curious, how many of you have pulled it off as well? I'm sure a ton have, and it's probably pretty easy to a lot of you at this point

2 RepliesGot my first Solo NM 3 weeks before HoW dropped Got Gally 2 nights before and in chat with friends and one says "Deadlys got his Gally now....bet he Solos Crota this week"....So I did and recorded it for him [url]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCi8xB-zvbM[/url] I think this was try 27 that day...Up to Crota was flawless but with Bugs and Frustration, I just kept failing and then things clicked(well, some of those Thrall shots were bad with the missing headshots, but hey at least the Heavy dropped when I needed it...) and he fell Still watching it and I go cool....as for HM, I keep running into the same issue with odd timings or bugs and just cant get it(granted I have not tried again since I hit 34) For those who did it...felt cool didn't it on your first time For those still trying...Trust me, dont give up...its worth the rush

Yeah really easy now that the max level is 34. Crota hard is exactly the same as crota normal now

Tried abyss... Failed miserably because I can't solo a hard mode until I beat normal on my hunter

5 RepliesI run it legit with my hunter up to Ir Yut and then I generally struggle. That feeling when Swordbearer finally comes down mid, gets shot gunned in the face and you make it across and take out the Gatekeeper is euphoric.

Did my share of soloing before joining my clan. Always had a pretty easy time on the first parts with my titan doing the cheese jumps. Deathsinger wasn't bad once I learned to draw the 2 wizards out beforehand (AP rounds through the crystal), completely changes the fight. Crota was always awful though... just so many things that could go wrong, plus the glitchiness. 2 rounds of Dragons Breath plus a fusion grenade was the best thing I had to make him kneel before getting my raid helmet. Oddly, the solo run that dropped my Gjallarhorn was also my last.

I solo every week. Been thinking about doing Hard now that im 34.

1 ReplyI enjoy doing normal and trying to get flawless. I've never actually gotten if but I have done runs where the only place I die is the shrieker hallway and then another run where I only died once at Crota. One of these days I will get it all the way through and it will be awesome.

7 RepliesSolo normal is easy. I just glide across the gap with all three classes. You can do it with Hunter as well if you have Bones of Ayy Lmao. Equip triple jump. Quad jump to gain height then just swing across. Got flawless raider from soloing normal mode

21 RepliesDid you do it without ghorn? Cause I can't get crotas shield down with any other rocket launcher and I don't have ghorn. Any tips? Tried dragons breath but miss one then screwed.

Nicely done! It's an great accomplishment for sure. Now that you've done it and know the mechanics it will only get easier. You'll be going flawless soon enough :) I've done it many times on my Titans and Warlock and still get a rush each time.

8 Repliesi soloed NM until i got all weapons (only need the machine gun) Now busy soloing HM but have not beaten Crota himself HM yet. Amazing how "easy" it looks on youtube vids but in practice for me it is not :) It has become an addiction to keep trying though, still prevents me from picking up other games

I've done it a number of times including Flawless for the flawless raider achievement. It's not that tough once you learn the intricacies. I'd imagine most people could do it flawless 50% of the time once you learn how to do it.

I've managed to get to Ir Yut on my own, but kept getting splatted by sword knights. I caved, got my brother in to help and we quickly finished. Although it took me three swords (I messed up the timing and jump on the second one), I killed Crota first attempt. I know its not considered by many to be tricky to kill Crota on normal anymore, but I was still buzzing after picking up the sword for first time ever and killing him. Haven't got flawless, still no Black Hammer... not bothered, I killed that glitchy mofo! I guess Oryx is coming to kick my backside now! *runs and hides*

Solod it awhile ago with my Hunter. Probably WAY easier now with a Hunter, Lvl 34, celestial nighthawk, piece of cake.

Congratz on soloing CE. I did mine few months back, did take several attempts. Tried the solo flawless with many close but never did achieve it

3 RepliesAt crota, shooting my last rocket so I can hit him 1 more time, rocket explodes in my face, realised that there was a thrall next to me, end of flawless run.
