Cheesing raids vs Doing them normally

Cheesing raids rather than doing them correctly is something some of my friends have being arguing about recently, and I just wanted to share my opinion with the community and see who agrees. I am someone who has played destiny a lot since launch, and done most of the activities consistently throughout that time. If you're interested, my gamertag on XB1 is "rangersfan6823". While I have cheesed raids before, and I completely understand why people do it (i.e. Time constrains, inability to form a full fire team, etc.) I don't not understand why raids must always be cheesed or done the "easy way". As someone who has raided many times, I can confidently say 80% of my encounters with the oracles, templar, and bridge section of crota have been sniping from the back of the map, just because my fireteam won't agree to do it the correct way. Like I said before, I understand if someone has work in 20 minutes and needs to get it done for the week, then by all means I am willing to do it the quick way to help a buddy out. But for the people who cheese it every single time, why even play if you don't want to do it the correct way? It's very irrational to have done something dozens of times and not even want to try a new way (which happens to the be the correct way) And isn't it more rewarding to get loot from doing the activity in a challenging and fun way? To me getting a fatebringer from an awesome battle on the bottom with the Templar where everything is going crazy, seems a lot cooler and more rewarding than getting a fatebringer from sniping him from the top and sitting in the same spot the whole time. And my last argument against cheesing is that it doesn't improve your skill as a player. If you rely on a cheese, one of your teammates, or some broken tactic to get you past everything, there will come a point where the game will create an activity or mode that can't be exploited, and you will be screwed for all the times you sat in the back and just waited for the rewards to come to you. This is just some food for thought, I know I'll probably get a lot of backlash but comment and let me know what you think. Thanks for reading.

  • Run Crota 37 times now and I still don't know how to do the bridge without cheesing, like does everyone on one side have to die while the guy with the sword is across in order to get enemies to despawn and get ogres to spawn?
