Should Xbox go Back to Microsoft points?
Recently I've been buying stuff On Xbox live and there's been tax on most of my buyings, Like one time I bought a $50 Xbox card to buy a season pass and there was tax, so I had to go back out and buy a $15 card so I could pay the tax. But I noticed one thing recently, Microsoft points didn't make you pay tax, So this is what I'm asking You guys, Do you want Microsoft points back, or Do you prefer the Money System? Put your answers in the comments below...

1 ReplyNo thank you. Its so much simpler nowadays. With the old system there would always be those few points that would get stuck in the Hell of digital change, and you would never use It. Now I can just link my credit card or PayPal up to Xbox live and only spend the amount required to get an item, nothing extra.

Tax was included in your purchase and is dependent on where you live. It did t change how you were charged when it switched to money. I personally like seeing how much I am spending in real monetary terms. Though you got used to £5 equates to 800 points or whatever I prefer seeing it in real money terms.

1 ReplyI think there was always tax, you just see it now because before the tax was already in the price in the form of points, now you can actually see the tax. Microsoft would not be able to sell merchandise without being taxed, whether their system is in normal money or points, either way the government is going to tax your digital purchases. I prefer this new system because it isnt as ambiguous, the points system always made me unsure about how much something was, i would have to go and double check the prices for points to know how much i was going to spend.

I love that my country doesn't hide the tax and includes it in the price tag.

You can either be taxed buying the card for points... have everything cost more points... or on your credit card... there's no avoiding tax anymore on digital purchases.

Money system is simpler and didn't you know you didn't change your billing address to a state that doesn't have tax and you won't be charged tax?
