There has been a lot of chatter on comment sections about how the emblem year one players get is like a big middle finger to us the players. I had an idea last night. What if Bungie gave a legendary weapon to all year one players that meet the requirements for the Emblem. Each player could choose if they want a scout rifle, hand cannon, auto or pulse rifle. Each weapon would have the black/gold color scheme as the emblem. Each would be called Chimera ___________. The cool thing would be that each weapon could switch between arc, solar, and void. I think that would be a reward worthy of a true Legend. Hopefully Bungie sees this and agrees.
