New Crucible Game Type: Taken

Title: Taken How to play: Each game consists of the traditional 12 players, but two of the players are Taken, or Guardians that have lost their Light and have become slaves to the Darkness. It will work much like Infection from Halo. Players who are killed by the Taken will join their side. However, here's where it gets different. A match can end in three ways. The first and most obvious is if every player gets Taken. If that happens, then the two Taken with the most kills and last surviving Guardian gets a point. Another way to end a match is if a Guardian gets 1000 points (100 per kill) this will end with that Guardian getting a point. Finally, a match will automatically end after 6 minutes. The two players with the highest score, Taken or Guardian, will receive two points each. End Game: As you have seen, the rewards per match will be points. This is because the full game will only end once a player has reached 3 points. These games should last anywhere between 3 to 30 minutes. The winner will be rewarded a guaranteed legendary item, gear, weapon, material, and a chance for an exotic (albeit very rare). Basically, winning is like getting a legendary engram, and can result in such an engram as well. In order to prevent having more than one winner, the player with the highest points will win in the end (a player with 4 points will trump a player with 3 points.). Should multiple players end with the same amount of points, an extra round will take place where these players will battle it out for first place as Taken. Other non-participating players may leave at this time should they choose and will be sent to the rewards screen and go into matchmaking as soon as possible. Gimmicks: The Taken have two weapons to work with: a simple hand cannon with a single round in the magazine, but takes only two shots to kill a Guardian. That a lovely but miniature version of the Sword of Crota. This knife will be your main as the Taken can cut down a Guardian instantly. However, this knife who's name is yet to be determined takes 5 seconds to recharge. In order to effective, the Taken must be careful and sneaky. The Taken do not differ between classes. They no longer wield the light, and thus no longer have their traditional supers or grenades. The Taken have a new Super of their own for this game type called Dark Burst or Dark Wrath. These can only be activated once per turn as a Taken, and cannot be recharged until the next match should the player end up as a Taken again. Furthermore, every Taken, even recently turned ones can activate it as there are no teams. - To make things simple, Dark Burst is reminiscent of the cursed thrall's explosions, except the Taken doesn't die and the blast radius is a little bigger, plus it slows Guardian movement for 3 seconds. - Dark Wrath is quite similar to the bladedancer super. With increased mobility, shields/health and infinite knife uses, the enemies will cower in fear as your activation howl sounds throughout the arena. On the note of Supers, Guardians cannot activate their's immediately, but can do so by collecting the Orbs of Light of recently slain "allies". Should the tiebreaker round take more than 5 minutes, a zone will appear somewhere on the map and the player who first captures the zone will be victorious. Thanks for reading this far into my post. If you have any other ideas or a good name for either the Taken knife or gun, put it in the comments section below! I'll be looking forward to including your suggestions in my post!
