ESO vs Destiny content comparison UPDATED

EDIT 14/07/15 ESO = £45 for the entire game and everything in it. DESTINY = £140 +£20 for emotes and shader total = £160 (half the price of a next gen console) (for new players, £60) Please keep that in mind and read the post before commenting , lots of people are completely missing the point. EDIT 06/07/15 - please note , this is a comparison of value for money, treatment of players, and customer satisfaction. This is a comparison of two games - one an FPS , the other an RPG , however they are both mmorpgs they are both console games you can buy. ESO is £45 whereas destiny with all expansions is £140 keep this in mind. Below is a list comparing the CONTENT of both to highlight the value. ORIGINAL POST ESO = elder scrolls online A comparison of the two games : EDIT 14/07/15 OPTIONAL MATCHMAKING As I recently found out , ESO offers optional matchmaking for all group dungeons , in fact it lets you queue in them while you play. As well as this it also has interactive in game guilds so you can form teams IN GAME. Destiny as we know doesn't have matchmaking and forces you outside of the game to look for groups. EMOTES AND SHADERS Destiny want to charge $20 for emotes and a shader and emblem - ESO has about 50 FREE emotes , about 50 free armour shaders that you can customise on the intricate details of your armour. LEVELS destiny lets you get to level 20 with this light level system pushing it to 34 , all in all takes about a week to 2 weeks of repeating same content - ESO lets you get to level 50 with new content all the while and then you get to play through the other factions and earn veteran ranks CRAFTING Destiny has re-rolling on weapons.......ESO has black smithing, alchemy. Tailoring, woodworking, enchanting, all of which are massively in depth, even with 'jobs' to do. CUSTOMISATION Destiny lets you customise some features of your characters face at the start, but looks nothing like in game - ESO lets you customise your WHOLE characters appearance with muscle build, height, tattoos, even butt size!! Lol - you can also make weapons and armour in the style of the different races, have your own enchantments, customise your characters armour colour with over 50 different shaders. EXPLORABLE WORLD Destiny has 4 explorable maps which can be seen in entirety in about 20 mins ......ESO has a whole world which would take hours to see all of it with unique dungeons , crating stations, interactive player encounters and more PVP destiny has small pvp maps and objectives which repeat over and over - ESO has a whole area (Cyrodil) which you can go to and take part in epic battles. CONCLUSION What destiny has that ESO doesn't have - guns What ESO has that destiny hasn't - EVERYTHING ELSE - UPDATE HISTORY - UPDATE - 04/07/15 A few people have asked me how can you compare? it's like comparing apples and oranges. Ok let's run with this analogy for a moment and consider the point I'm trying to make here : ESO is a bag of apples for £1 - destiny is buying an orange for £10 from a shifty eyed orange seller. You walk away, open the bag and realise you've only got half an orange (vanilla destiny). You go back and the seller says you need to buy another half of an orange, so you do and you walk away, open the bag and you've got a quarter of an orange (dark below) and this continues on with house of wolves.... TTK will not be 'big enough to be a game itself' and even if it was that means we've got 1 and a half games for the price of 3 (with what we've invested this far) meaning we paid for 3 oranges and got 1 and a half UPDATE - 02/07/2015 Numerous people have asked why I am comparing these two games. One is an FPS and the other is an RPG. Well the comparison goes deeper than that: it's actually about value for money and content. It's also important that players are aware of what choices are out there. And it's not just important for players to be aware of this it's also the Devs of Bungie. DeeJ has asked us to keep talking about destiny and feedback our suggestions to which we've been constantly ignored. I'm not interested in having a debate with DeeJ on this - a year on with no changes has lost my respect and I'm not interested what they (Bungie) have to say. It's a case now of actions not words to build that trust and respect back up. To be honest deep down I loved destiny I just feel immensely let down by it because of the business choices Bungie have made. If you want me to 'throw money at my screen' then I'm afraid you need to take a hard look at the post below and do something about it.
