Focused Light - All XP sources or what?

So I just got a can of Destiny-themed Red Bull and plan on redeeming my code (so no begging for the code). To anyone who's used them yet, can I use the XP boost on bounties? Or is it just from killing enemies?

It's on anything . My friend when from level 8 to 15 in 20 minutes works well . Works with anything that gives xp
