Things year 1s will say to players in the future

This post is just like telling a legend , here's mine Old one , elder of the first warlocks , exalted scholar, vanguard of the young ,where did that fusion rifle come from . Years ago I entered a vault to defy time , and I destroyed a mythical vex God. As I ripped his soul from his decaying body it formed this key. A key to time. Because of this , You will not find him in any books because he never existed , did exist , and still does. But that is the past , and you are the future. I will have existed , will exist , and will never have existed . But when you are in need guardians, channel the solar light within , and say my name . For with my key I will bend time for you , as I am the immortal father time himself. Go forward as the council commands young ones, and call upon me when your lights end is near, for time stop for one man. Come on guys lets be creative I wanna hear your legends to , I can't wait to share this in the future. Edit: let's keep this going let them know the strength of us elder guardians Edit : I can't answer them all , but keep the might of the elders rolling Edit : so many , lest get this to highest rated guys , Father Time will do his best to answer all posts Edit: thanks everyone for the huge amount of replies Edit: so many let's destroy that reply button

    • "I only have one bit of advice to give you young Kinderguardians... Should any of you get chosen by the gracious and unmerciful RNGsus to be bestowed the all power Gjallarhorn, do not believe any veterans when we say that it is 'the worst exotic ever and you should dismantle it'. They only want to see you suffer for the rest of your Destiny life as you witness and learn of it's greatness. Let only the Will of RNG fill your hearts as you may never hold another Gjallarhorn, but you shall be glad that you have other friends to use that Gjallarhorn by your side. If you remain pure and full of innocence, RNGsus shall recognize you again and grace you with another Gjallarhorn after witnessing purity and commitment. This will also go for you, young Kinderguardians, that may not be gifted with Gjallarhorn like your fellow beginners but gifted with it at a much later date. Just have the Patience & Time to wait for RNGsus to recognize you, for he has not deemed you worthy yet. Although, when there is Light, there is also Darkness. Some of you do not have that purity in your heart to have the Will of RNG. Some of you will have your Light tainted with the Darkness of something much, much worse... The Curse of Butthurt. This curse has been passed to many of our fellow Guardians from veteran to novice, late bloomers to first timers, elitists to scrubs. They are the ones that you may have witnessed upon entering this forums. These guardians, although allies, are toxic and will try to bestow the Curse of Butthurt upon you to make you one of them. Stay away from them and you shall be safe. Do not try to argue, do not try to reason, do not try to dissuade them from their beliefs. When you see one of their posts, just simply say 'Git gud, scrub' and move on. I have bestowed to you the knowledge that shall determine your future as a full fledged Guardian. Now go, use this knowledge as you see fit. May it guide you on your path to establish your own legacy to pass to down to the next generation of Kinderguardians." - An Old Warlock

    • Back in my day... Getting a legendary from a legendary engram was the equivalent of getting a gjallarhorn today... Or at least, that's what it felt like.

(After a long day of training, the young Titans want to meet up with a old legendary Titan for a story. They past a hunter and warlock, making fun of the hunters small body and the warlocks books. Behind them they see the old Titan sitting, he saw it all.) Tell us noble Titan! We young ones are tried from training, just a little story from your youth? Ok ok, young ones, form a circle and sit. There was a time not so long ago where I was the rock of my team, when we went deep in the dark below. We ran more harder then you young ones do day in and out, we were chase by hive, an army worth, with the darkness eating at our light, making us heavy in fear and doubt. When we reach the end of the road, before a endless drop, we saw light beyond. Our warlocks yell, saying a bridge will form. (Young Titans get closer) We were trap, a hive army behind, dark abyss beyond, we had to wait and hold on till we could cross. I the only Titan, had to step up, my whole team looks to me, for them to live though this... (Young ones look at each other) I call for a line, yell out in a booming voice! You are not Titans! But tonight I call YOU all! To stand as one! The line must not break! It will not break! You tonight will show them our light! Show them why they should fear us!! (The young one listen with wide eyes) It was only minutes, but felt like days, the hive ran in, from their weakest to the mightiest Ogres. That day I saw in hunters and warlocks a beast, a sleeping... Titan at heart. We didn't even need my defender bubble... (Young ones look in shock) Yes young ones we won the day. We went to defeat their God... (Young one stand and cheer, and kneel before me, showing respect of my might) No no no, stand young ones, I was but a rock, without hunters and warlocks... Your team members... all will be lost. So young ones, next time you see them, show as much respect as u would to a fellow Titan. (The young look at each other, and turn and run after that hunter and warlock, laughing as they walk together off)

I knew a great man long ago, by the name of Kabr. We were fellow guardians, and more than that, we were friends. We fought the hive, fallen, cabal, and the vex together. We took on the champions of their factions like no other, we were near unstoppable. Until one day we came across a strange door in the side of a cliff in the Ishtar sink, this is the door that leads to the now named Vault of Glass. We'd never known the vex to create vaults, especially those that people are able to enter. We knew this was strange and sought to investigate, this was our doom. This was our end. We entered this vault with only one other, I cannot remember much of him. He is who you all know today as praedyth. We opened the Vault fighting off weak minotaurs, Kabr took the lead into the vault, the first things we met were the oracles. To us they seemed docile, but we knew that everything the vex do is in an attempt to end us. We killed these oracles, but we had no means of defeating the Templar. We couldn't fight him and all of his oracles alone, we knew that our fight would soon be over. At this moment I saw Kabr entering an oracle. The oracles erased Praedyth and I from existence soon after. I soon would find out that we were the lucky ones. For a moment I had reached a form of enlightenment, I... No, we, skipped across time free of burden. Then I awoke... A long time after the Vault. There only remains one thing that belonged to me that stayed in the vault, this weapons name was Fatebringer. You may ask how I managed to make such a weapon, that story is for another time. Do you not see? The oracles can erase your legacy, your memories, your very existence. But there is one thing they cannot ever rid themselves of... Your Light. There are now two things I must do. Find Praedyth, and avenge Kabr. -The Warlock Torian

          • Back in my day, xur brought decent items, being lv 30 made you a god, you actually had to WORK for max light level, Titans were the worse class in crucible, hunters had no use in PVE, auto riffles dominated in crucible, thorn was terrible, you could kill Crota with the flick of a switch, Templar and atheon constantly lost their balance, teamwork was actually required in raids, you used to farm materials, not buy them, moon was the worst place to farm, a weapon called gallajhorn was required for EVERY activity ever, Vog Was the best endgame activity, trials used to require skill.

          • (An old Guardian in the wild approaches younger Hunters and Titans and Warlocks by their campfire, and tells the story of the 2nd time, he went in the Vault.) Old Guardian: Forgive me if forget some aspects, as going in the Vault, messed up my accuracy of the order of things. We went in. The 6 of us. It was gruesome. The first thing we encountered were the Confluxes. Not till a Vex got through to one, did we know to defend them. That was the easy part. (The young Guardians sat attentively.) Next, we challenged the Oracles. Singing the Vex lullabies that tainted our Light. One of us jumped right off the edge, driven to the edge of Madness. It... Was a tragedy. It drove us to destroy the Oracles right away. The Templar.... A magnificent work of Vex machinery. I grabbed the Aegis for the team. Such a masterpiece of craft. 5 of us, against of all... them. I took down his shield, and my team went for it. One of us fell when we attacked. The Templar fell. It was a small victory, compared to the next challenges. The Gorgons came next. The Hunters got by easily, with their invisibility. The Warlock blinded them with their Solar Light. I got by with her. The Titan had no way to get by. He gazed right into the Gorgons' eye. Another fell. The challenge we faced after that was the worst yet. He guarded the gates. The Gatekeeper, we titled him. Two gates, one to the past and one to the future. The Hunters went in alone. They conquered the Gatekeepers and grabbed the Aegis. Then all of us took him on. The Gatekeeper. The one that sits on every corner of time. The Hunters fell when it fell. The Curse of the Aegis, I called it. The Warlock... Got caught in the explosion. Only I remained. I grabbed both the Aegis before he stood in front of me. Atheon. Something seemed familiar to me... Like I have stood there before. I conquered. I stood where time did not exist nor did. It was magnificent. The glass shimmer, the platform on which he stood. The Curse of the Aegis was lifted, which is why I am sitting here. (A young Guardian, hearing a legend similar to a man facing Atheon alone before, starts to think.) Young Hunter: May I ask, what is your name? Old Guardian: My name... is Kabr. (The young Hunter and the others realize a legend is sitting in front of them. They have many questions, but only ask one.) All the young Guardians ask: Are you the Kabr from the legend? The one who constructed the Aegis, but fell to the Vex? Kabr: Yes. (The moment Kabr says yes, he disappears using Vex technology, and was never seen again.) Epilogue: The young Guardians ponder on and attack the Vault themselves. None fell due to the information the Legend, Kabr gave them. Kabr lives on through memories, legends and the stories that the young Guardians told. The end.

            • He came as a wise warlock. Master of fire and void. He ripped the master of time from his vault. Brought a hive god to his knees. Boots on every planet and moon. Weilder of the light. Champion of the iron banner. Collector of the tools of our trade. A powerful guardian. Leader of his team. Can you match his legend guardians? Will you be champion of the light?

                    • I remember being Lvl 27 armed with a Suros, lLight Beware and Unfriendly Giant. and completing my 1st VOG. Many probably never even heard of the latter two weapons. Learned how to move and shoot in order to stay alive. A skill many haven't had to worry about developing given the easy ascension to both level 32 and 34.
