Crucible rewards
Why even have them. Players on the high end seem to not get as much as low end. I went through multiple matches when I was near top I didn't receive anything. Next match was near the end so I was near the bottom. But that time I actually got something. It may seem like a coinsedense but to me it just doesn't feel like it.

It sucks but they do it so people don't just abandon matches. Even if you do poorly, you have a chance to get something. If they didn't, a lot of people would just abandon matches they were losing or doing poorly in. It's an incentive to complete what you started. Not saying that it's necessarily the best idea but that's their reasoning and they stated that in one of the weekly updates. They've also, recently, changed the drop rates to be higher for the people who have done better...at least that's what they said.
