Look, I get it, but..

I understand destiny is a game where you build and develop a character that fits your playing style with guns and armor that you like. everyone has their favorite weapons, most of which are exotics from year 1. when playing crucible, I can already tell you I will find 2-4 guardians using thorn, another using hawkmoon, and a few more than I would like using mythoplast, guaranteed. yes, when playing any game, you want to use the best weapons you have in order to win. but there's a reason why I can say no matter what, I will be wrecked by these guns in every game. why? because they are just too good for pvp. out of the 200+ hours I've played crucible, I could most likely count only on my fingers how many times I've won gun fights with these weapons. not just because they're good, but because they players using them haven't used anything else. I mean, what's the point? why use something else when you know for a fact mythoplast, hawkmoon, or thorn will rip your enemy in half nearly every single time? I'm not saying these weapons need to be banned from crucible, all I'm saying is that there are reasons why players who have them have alway, and will always continue to use them. maybe instead of focusing on heat maps, destiny need to work on balancing in order to give players an incentive to put thorn down and try something new. my reasoning: thorn has a powerful burn allowing you to get two to three body shots and bail. you don't even have to be there for the kill. mythoplast, as everyone knows, might as well be a machine gun. huge clip size, no charge or cool down, and being a primary allowing you to still run a shotgun. unstoppable. hawkmoon, or as I like to call it, a pocket sniper. also a huge clip for a hand cannon with multiple extra damage bullets, and accuracy that can drive tacks from across the map. correct me if I'm wrong, but until there are guns that rip and tear as good as these, I fear these three weapons will be in every pvp match reaping the souls of those not as fortunate to have them.

  • This is what happened when Bungie broke auto rifles. Of all those weapons.....Only the mythoclast was a dominant weapon back when you could actually kill something with an AR.

    • Makes you wonder what kind of community destiny are trying to promote. Rewards are RNG so no matter how much hard work you put in , it's just lick whether you'll be able to do well in crucible or get groups for high end stuff (gally in 35 POE) - in that sense Bungie have created a discriminatory game. Also to top this off, you could say Bungie are also promoting bullying, people single you out because you don't have the best weapons but it's not for lack of trying there is just no way to earn them just through RNG

      • why not, you all get some armour, you all get a gun and then you all go do battle?, whats the point of all the extras, the supers or the whatever else's if there is someone somewhere with some stuff better than yours, just give us all the same and let us do battle.

Crucible balance isn't about what you want. The game doesn't revolve around you, or any single person.

        • So true... And the only way to change that in a reasonable mannor is to make something indisputibly more terrifying... And that would just break the game as a whole.
