Strongest Titan subclass for PvP?

Defender or Titan and why? More control of the battlefield vs Nuking ability and gap closer. Discuss.

  • Depends on some things. Most notable is how that guardian is played and equipped. If your playstyle is striker-friendly, then it's likely to be better for you under most circumstances. In general: if you have either a fireteam, or at least the ability to communicate with your fellow players, I say Defender. Its insane durability, combined with maxed support to power up the whole team, is pretty hard to beat. Defenders are more suited to control or salvage since your big purple bubble is great for controlling a given spot for a period of time. In a rumble match, or if you don't have the ability to coordinate with teammates, I think I'd go with Striker. A well-used shoulder charge is a one-shot kill, and dropping a fist of havoc on a clot of enemies waiting for heavy weapons to spawn can be a delicious experience.

  • Defender. Striker supers, kills, and everyone moves on. Dropping a bubble will make the other team rethink for a minute (unless they have a super readily available) and disrupt their flow of the game.

  • Defender is supposed to be INDESTRUCTIBLE if you read the description makes me sad that other supers kill it

Defender + Control + decent teammates = victory Edit: After reading everyone else's comments, I concur that in a lot of situations, the Fist is better than the Bubble, especially in deathmatch-type games. I am a weird player that plays mostly objective (control) matches, and i'm not worried about my K/D. I'd rather support and win than run solo.

    • as MysticalSnurtle said, defender bubbles are so out matched by any other subclass that its almost useless. striker definatly way to go with its grenades, shoulder charge and the potential to get multiple kills with fist of havoc. long story short, defender sucks for pvp and striker dominates. (i have a lvl 34 titan with maxed subclasses and exsperience with both) striker[3]-------defender[0]

    • The ward of dawn is out supered making FOH better by default. Force barrier is much harder to proc then storm fist. The defenders grenades bounce off, fail to stop supers or are just flat out useless half the time. Looks like Striker wins.

    • Striker, Ward of Dawn is destroyed by literally any other super and lightning grenades are great. Also, fist of havok activation time is makes for an efficient killing tool for those panicked situations.
