Destiny Should've Been an MMO

I disagree. (Please explain)

If you guys remember back when Destiny was first advertised, Bungie made sure that people did not call this game an MMO. But why? Because they didn't want old fans to be "alienated" as he said in this short interview: http://youtu.be/sJwTP9KbyQw But no. I don't believe that's why at all. What I like most about MMOs are their incredible amounts of content and their cost effectiveness. Now, we have to spend fat sums of money whenever a DLC drops for some new content that would honestly be laughable compared to any other MMO. If you've seen me on the forums before, you've probably seen me talking about a certain game called DC Universe Online. A single DLC in that game can have about 4-5 raids AND several 4 player, 2 player, and solo missions. Not to mention that a new power is entered into the game roughly every few months. The game is constantly updated, adding more and more fixes, trying to make every power as balanced as possible. There is no "Thorn" or "Suros Regime" level power that just makes the game ridiculously unfair or unbalanced. And if there were, it would be fixed within weeks. Not months. But here's what grinds my gears. DCUO was developed by Sony Online Entertainment (before it was Daybreak). The Dev team for DCUO couldn't have exceeded 50 -blam!-ing people. But Bungie is a team with about 500 employees. Tell me if I'm wrong, but isn't Destiny the only game being developed by them right now? In summation, what I'm trying to say is, if Bungie tried to embrace Destiny's MMO features, I believe that this game would've been a lot better, had more content, etc. Do you agree or disagree?
