The guy messed up, everyone does

I'm not saying forgive the guy, he messed up and we have every right to be upset and should be.. To an extent. I feel like we are blowing it out of proportion. My opinion is that he felt that he was being attached by the euro gamer reporter and that he's unable to divulge any information outside of what's been released to the public by bungie. But instead of doing the professional thing by not letting it get to him he got frustrated and in a poor manor defended the current information released to the public. If anything this can be a good thing for the community, they know were upset and hopefully realize he was unprofessional in his response which could lead to bungie-activision pr team to mend the issue. Be mad but the community isn't permanently damaged.

  • I don't think he did anything wrong. I think he tried to be humorous while delivering shitty news and that made him come off like a dick. Let's not forget, Activision is the devil. And they probably do a great job convincing Bungie to convince it's employees that they are not the spawn of hell and their strategies are beneficial to the consumers. I bet Smith actually believed it was a good plan (the devil is a lie). Plus it's not like he has any say on pricing strategy.
