So I thought of a way to show are voices/ideas matter a little bit. Monthly Community and Dev challenges
#1 Create Forums across Bungie.net, NeoGaf, reddit etc... on your twitter, facebook, and other various social networks and ask the community to submit challenges for both PvE and PvP that will require time and skill to complete. You will have to tell us limitations as far as how creative our challenges can be i.e. Kill 50 enemy players while airborne in the crucible Complete Crotas end in under 1 hour etc...
#2 Have someone choose the 20 most popular/interesting ones and one week before challenges are set out you let people vote for their favorites and the top (not sure how many it would be monthly after all) ones enter into next months community challenges. Now this would be seperate from bounties (I'd hope or you could have more active bounties at once) and would come w/ their own Community Marks.
#3 This is where some of the community requests come in (Not Major ones but it shows us they are trying). Marks cap would raise to 500 along w/ glimmer to 50k. These New Marks would be used to purchase Old Gear, and a few old exotics possibly, at whatever the current light/damage lvl other vendors are selling new weapons at from a New Vendor. This new vendor would also offer upgrades to equipped items but at a price.
Dev Challenges offer endgame/exotic (not raid quality) rewards and other weapons with unique perks or characteristics that they themselves enjoy. There challenges would be whatever they want and would give the grind a little bit more meaning.
Let me know what you think lets try to get this implemented into the game.

bump also considering some weapons will die out and armor seems to upgrade better keep more balance for future content, it would also help keep your armor unique as more variety is added, maybe do away w/ weapon upgrades to max dmg and keep them at the basic dmg for the 2nd yr i.e. 400 dmg standard New weapons max at 450 or whatever it may be.
