A lot of people have wanted trading in game. Most people want the gjallahorn from people who have like 5 of them because the drop rate is so low. In my opinion I don't think trading should be allowed. I understand trying and waiting for a gally to drop can be frustrating. I myself do not have one. I'm still waiting on one to drop. If people were able to trade in game people wouldn't even need to play the game anymore. A majority of people have friends who have multiple of a certain exotic. They could just trade with them and get all exotics without actually playing the game. Everybody wants a gjallahorn, (including myself) but a gjallahorn is not a necessity. I've seen level 34s with maxed gallys die constantly and not be able to really do much. The gun does not make the player. A lot of people exclude others for not having a gjallahorn but in reality they could be missing out on a great player. There are a lot of very skilled players getting excluded from end game content all because they haven't been lucky enough to get that one gun (Gjallahorn). I've done many raids ,nightfalls and have completed skolas without anybody having a gjallahorn. Of course it makes it easier and faster, but the time you spend completing a raid or nightfall is part of what makes the game interesting. People just want to run through everything and get it over with. I'd much rather enjoy the game and have fun completing whatever it is that I'm doing regardless of how long it takes. It can be very frustrating. I've seen level 22 people get gjallahorns and I'm sitting here getting legendary engrams. Of course I want a gally, but even if trading were allowed I wouldn't get it from someone else due to the fact that I didn't earn it myself. All I did was press a button and got one the strongest guns in the game. I believe people should grind and try to have as much fun as possible. That's what video games are for. Be patient, grind, and hopefully you get lucky enough to have gjallahorn drop for you. Once anyone gets that launcher I believe they feel very accomplished because they put so much time into the game. If you were able to get a gally out of a trade, that feeling of accomplishment will never be felt. This is my opinion. I would like to hear from everyone else and there position on this topic.
