Do you like microtransactions? Well Halo 5 has them.
In addition to earning REQ points through leveling up and completing commendations, you can buy REQ points with real money. REQ points are used to buy REQ packs that contain weapons, armor, skins, and assassination animations. Only the cosmetic items can be used in Arena though.
It's the price to pay for free maps.
Any thoughts?

It doesn't affect much so I don't give a rip really. And like you said, free DLC.

Haven't read the article but if it's only cosmetic like you guys say then I'm fine with it. Let those kiddo's have there cool lil armor or whatever makes them look cool that there parents can waste there Money on..I'll go read it now hopefully I don't eat my words

I have no problem with that style of micro transactions. If it is all cosmetic then that is fine, and what makes it better is if you can still earn all that cosmetic stuff in game anyways (which you can in this case). So long as it stays like that i am fine with it.

Nothing there is exclusive to the micro-transactions so no big deal.

It doesn't sound to different from Mass Effect's multiplayer, the maps were free and the micro transactions weren't game breaking or necessary. So I'm fine with it.
