What's the secret perk? I think it needs more range and as a balance a bigger spread like the captains

Given it has the same look and function as the Fallen Captains "Shrapnel Launcher" it is nothing close to it. You literally have to Be kissing distance to damage anything or else your projectiles just vanish after only a foot or two. Unlike the Captains' where they can snipe the hell out of you from great distances. From reviews I've seen, the only good Exotic is the QueenBreakers Bow. Lord of Wolves looks awesome, but I am not liking it all too much.

I am unclear on how the exotic perk buffs teammates. It is an active heal that constantly restores their health at a uniform rate? Or is it a boost to their existing regeneration? Also, will it do anything to combat persistent damaging effects like the Wizards' poison cloud, Thorn's Mark of the Devourer, and Qodron's containment field health drain?
