This target has its own dedicated mission which I thought was pretty neat. But did anyone else find it odd to have no dialogue whatsoever? No intro, no mission complete prattle, just eerie silence. Kind of felt like clearing a stage in Hotline Miami.
Also:
"Hey guys, we've never incorporated the turret into pve gameplay, just toss it in somewhere, would ya? What do you mean 'in what context would it appear?' Damnit, Jenkins, what have I told you about these obsessions with 'storytelling' and 'plausible explanations?' Turret, pve, get it done!"

I'm just wondering why our person ghost decided that it was ok to just STFU over two full DLC campaigns
-
If they woulda put the turrent up high & put the Epic modifier on instead of Heroic it woulda been way better.
-
Like an idiot, I ran around all the moon looking for this guy. Lol finally had a moment of clarity and figured maybe he's on a dedicated mission.
-
I looked it as our guardians personal vendetta. Off the grid he just has to kill this guy
-
Probably the most odd mission I have ever played. Like it was just, there...
-
There was an old video of someone wall breaching into King's Watch a few months ago. Inside it he found an Ultra Captain that looked like a color swap of the Archon Slayer. I think they just moved him over to the moon for the hell of it. The mission was kind of lacking all in all. The turret was fun but seemed forced and out of place. Lack of dialogue made the mission feel really off. With a title like Archon Slayer you'd think there'd be more invested into it.
-
The turret was useless on the higher level
-
Bump. Loved the dialog between developers lol
-
Oh that Jenkins, always getting into shenanigans. I really loved that episode where he tried to prove that a 20 stack of ammo synths was a bad idea, but then his presentation caught fire. Classic!
-
it was also the shortest mission in the game, just 2 rooms I played it yesterday after accidentally skipping over it in my playthrough. There was 0 grandiose to it, which was odd and yet refreshing? Like it's a simple kill mission. Yet, there was like 0 risk to it. After killing him it felt like "well that's done". Probably because it was one archon slayer vs another. I have very mixed feelings :/

Another wasted opportunity from Bungie. Cool concept, terrible execution
-
When I saw the turret, I thought shit was about to go down. But nope...
-
The turret made it feel like an arcade game
-
Ran part of Phogoth backwards and for a 5 min. "mission". No story added....just slapping together "new" content cause its so lacking.
-
the turret was shit... i could do more damage with a psi umbra
-
it was quite eerie. and the archon slayer himself was pretty massive.
-
Yep but that mission area will appear every mission it needs
-
That turret sucks too. I was doing more damage with my unleveled pulse rifle.
-
Did not use the turret at all. Just Hawkmoon'd the cr@p out of the Hive or just run into the room straight to the fight with Skoriks. No need to clear areas to move on.
-
Yeah, very random indeed. Felt out of place.
-
Yes that sort of was the problem. However what bothered me the most was the large Captain... It seemed more of a glitch than an actual boss type enemy.I wish they would've made him look a bit different, He seemed like an interesting character. He singlehandly killed an Archon afterall. Also I noticed many people doing the bounty at level 26... really? challenege yourself a little atleast and then maybe you can complain about how "easy" the content was.
-
That mission was haphazardly thrown together. Did you notice that all of the patrol enemies were there as well as the new fallen ones. Quite lame. The turret wasn't even really used for anything special too...
-
LOL hotline miami. Good game
-
I liked the turret but everything else was quite formatted erratically. I didn't like the silence either.
-
It was a nice surprise tho to jump on and have a new mission, also lol jenkins :p
