When I first received this weapon, it was a "single shot" fusion rifle and not a burst. After the recent patch "1.2.0.2" the weapon is no longer a "single shot" fusion rifle, instead fires all 6 rounds in one "burst", and makes the weapon 100% unusable.
EDIT: I tried using it again but this time during patrol and it was working as intended. I'm guessing it was a glitch and I'm not sure if it's due to the correction to fusion rifles that wasn't updated last patch. I'll use it in Iron Banner again and see if it does the same but if no one else has any issues then good. Just to see so it can be corrected as soon as possible.
EDIT 2: This has been confirmed by others but isn't something that lingers. Seems to be corrected just as others by re-equipping or going to orbit. But as other weapons have their issues fixed, hopefully it's not as potent but checked out in case.
EDIT 3: I uploaded a video with the glitch. It seems to only happen when scoped in.

Glitch happens with the mytho as well
-
That's weird. Here's my question though... Does it melt fools if you hit them with the burst?
-
Edited by Father Giliam: 6/4/2015 10:04:09 AMNot surprised. The Vex and Infinity bug out and turn into standard fusion rifles occasionally. Seems to be a pattern with fusion rifles that behave differently. As you found out, just un-equip then re-equip.
-
Did you try dismantling it?
-
Had the same happening to me
-
Was doing this to me Yest in crucible but when I went to a pve activity it was fine.
-
Had the same happening try to swap weapons and it should work again
-
I wouldn't be surprised if the people you were fighting reported you for hacking or something. They don't know that you had a glitched gun, and they might not believe you. Just be careful when using it while glitched in pvp. Still looks hilarious, would wreck anyone it would hit.
-
That happened to me when I got vex for the first time. It would shoot three bullets and charged like a regular fusion rifle.
-
-
Dude, that looks like it would be a DPS monster house up close!!!

Edited by unif1end: 6/3/2015 10:33:02 AMExperienced two glitches today. First was the one you mentioned, where it fires all 6 shots at once. Second one is where it fires as intended during ADS, but that shot only deals 45 dmg. These glitches were experienced in pvp, specifically the iron banner. Reapplying patch 1.1.1 effects without proper testing was a bad move, it really screwed up weapons like the vex and bow which are categorized as fusion rifles. God knows when the next fix is gonna come or even if it's gonna be permanent. Edit: I should add that these glitches were quite frequent, even after swapping weapons.
-
Kinda happens with my vex, it sometimes charges as a fusion rifle when I'm in the crucible
-
This happened to the Vex a while back where it would do a charge rate then -blam!-ing boom. Everything at once.
-
I can't decide if its AWESOME or its AWESOME!
-
This has happened to be before, even before the patch. Dying fixes it, and switching weapons quickly also tends to work.
-
Same thing with the vex mytho.
-
Its in the patch notes that the old 1.1.1 fix for fusion rifles didnt get added to the last update so they fixed it on the update this morning
-
Well damn, apparently this bug is back after the recent Hotfix. You should tag this for the Support section, and I will reiterate. When the first "Fusion Rifle Nerf" patch happened, the Vex Mythoclast (only in PvP) would sometimes glitch if you died while shooting it at the same time, causing it to act like a normal Fusion rifle, and firing a round of 7 torrents (3 shots total for a 21 round clip). It appears that the Queenbreaker's Bow now also suffers from this infrequent bug, and since it only has 6 rounds in a clip, it shoots all 6 torrents.
-
Full auto fusion sniper....
-
How was lag in the match? I noticed a bug two or three IBs ago where if someone started using a lag switch as I was firing the Mythoclast it would require charging until I died which would then reset it until another scumbag threw a lag-switch.
-
Happens with vex as well...
-
My pocket infinity is still broken but I don't think bungie cares about the pocket infinity
-
I think that it is similar to the Vex glitch that still happens occasionally. It is still a fusion rifle, so under some extreme circumstances, it acts as such. The Vex glitch changed the ammo counter from 21/xx to 3/xx. It required you to charge it like a normal fusion rifle and then fired of the seven rounds. Made it unusable do to the delay caused by the charge, the inaccuracy of the shots and the fact that it requires about 5 shots to kill. (Before Dark Below and after nerf.)

i wish i could get one but i have the glitch where i cant even accept the quest thanks bungie!

Whoa! I want that glitch to happen to mine
