First off, I'm just going to state that I do play both pvp and pve, and that I favour neither this or that. Although, flicking through the forums I've noticed a few trending subjects (with balanced criticism from both the pvp and pve) throughout the week. The first one I'd like to bring up is the troublesome lighthouse. Naughty lighthouse, look at all the trouble you've caused! I haven't been to Mercury (yet), and if I never get there, I won't be too unhappy. I enjoyed my time in the trials, it was a great team building exercise for my fire team, and I got some decent gear out of it! Although, (i think) the pve players find it unfair that FINALLY the pvp'ers get some exclusive gear, and a bit of a reward; for doing well since the DLC dropped. All I have to say is, good on you Bungie! I didn't complete my first raid till 2 weeks ago, and I faced that horrible "stuck at level 28/29 forever feeling" at launch, then that "30/31 feeling" during TDB, and finally a decent pvp event to join the Iron Banner has arrived, and my level has rocketed since. It seems fair right? 2 raids that award exclusive gear, 2 multiplayer events that also do the same? I think that's more than fair. Second... oh I've heard this too much! "I paid for a game that I can't access all of its content because I suck at pvp, open the lighthouse to everyone Bungie, it's unfair!!" No. You know what's unfair? Being kicked from every raid because I didn't know it inwards, outwards, sideways and backwards. Being denied access to any nightfall activity because I wasn't max light level. Not being able to play actual game modes built into the game, that give it its replay-ability because I wasn't a high enough level, or lacked the experience needed. I even asked a few random's when I joined their fire team those many moons ago; if they'd be alright (not carrying me as such) but talking me through it. Instant boot. Harsh? Saying Bungie denying the lighthouse because you paid for the DLC is ridiculous. It's like me moaning that they're denying me the end loot of Crotas Raid because I paid for the DLC. Work hard, find a team, grind. You have a fire team for the raids? Well I'm sure you can work together well enough to give yourselves a shot at that all exclusive location. I'm sure there is a third, but I'm so sleepy and just wanted to get my opinion out there. Thank you. To conclude this rant, I would like to say I have no favour towards pvp nor pve players, were all in this together, and if any of you favour either gamemode, good for you! Just don't ruin it for the other side. Edit: remembered the third before dozing off. Keys! Bloody keys. Xur should sell them, should get them guaranteed weekly, bla bla bla. First of all, I can't be the only one to think that these people just want something for nothing? I've seen people say they think Xur should sell them for a strange coin, 5 coins, 7 coins etc etc, I've even heard a muppet say you should be able to buy them for 250 glimmer. (Bet he had the max amount, if so that cleanly works out to a hundred keys if my maths is correct) cheeky bugger. Play the game! Enjoy yourself, it's not all for the end reward, it's about getting away from the boring thing that is life, anything in game is just a reward on top of that!
