It really pisses me off that my xbox one is full on space and the only option now is to plug in an external hard drive for more space because they haven't made a 1TB internal hard drive other than the limited edition Call Of Duty xb1. Why not? I know i'm not the only person needing more space. So what's the deal?
Idk if the PS4 has more space or not, but if they do then there's another win for them!

Mine has it.... Not limited edition
-
Do what I did, get a 3TB hard drive and plug it in.

The PS4 has only got a 500Gb internal drive as well, but you can't plug in an external drive. All you can do at present is replace the internal drive with a bigger one, which invalidates the PS4 warranty (this is one of the many things the PS ponies don't brag about) Just bite the bullet and plug a 2Tb drive into your XBone and be done with it; Western Digital make a nice little 2Tb passport drive that costs about £60.
-
1TB would get eaten up quickly as well. It took about 10 games to fill up the 500 gigs (miscellaneous mix of digital and installed games small and large) so 1TB would still be barely enough.
-
The Xbox one and ps4 both use 500 gb hard drives as it allowed them to keep the price of the console down. You should start seeing consoles with larger internal hard drives within the next 12-18 months.

Edited by d 6d7565727465: 5/27/2015 9:29:26 PMBecause they were too busy trying to make us Beta test their useless garbage camera when the money put into making that thing could've went in a decent CPU or a TB Hardrive.

Because activision is slowly killing them from the inside
-
Ps4 doesn't and they suck to use an external hd. Xbox one is plug n play for externals.
-
To keep cost down at release the same as ps4. They will have to release a 1tb one soon as, unlike the ps4, you unfortunately can't just PPP a new one in the Xbone. Instead Microsoft force you to connect a new HD externally which is not visually pleasing.
-
They will announce them soon. Along with a stupidly large price tag.
-
Stop bitching...if you need more room buy another HDD I got a 5tb for 180 on Amazon and will never need any more room in my life
-
Gotta save them shekels, goy! Better question is as to why it isn't user replaceable. You'd think MS would jump at the opportunity to slap an xbox logo on a hard drive and sell it for a 100% mark-up.
-
External Hard drives are great bruh. Plug and play. They will likely release updated SKUs with bigger hard drives.

It's the same for ps4, they have a standard 500gb hard drive. You can replace it with a bigger one. Just buy an external hard drive for the Xbox. I picked up a 3tb external for under 100 dollars. They are not that expensive, unless you live with your parents and don't have a job
-
Ps4 doesn't come with one that I know of. But you can buy the hard drive

Edited by Vgnut: 5/27/2015 4:33:53 AMSo they can sell a 1TB and later a 2TB version of the console later in its life. And probably to save a few bucks for a console they were going to sell for $500. On another note you can always attach an external hard drive.
-
If you use an external hard drive games will load faster. USB 3.0 is faster than the built in hard drive. Plus it's portable so I can play my games on a friends XB1.
