9 Ways Destiny Can Greatly Improve

More Enemies & More "New" Areas to Visit There's no denying that Destiny has so much potential to be such a more expansive and diverse game. Activision likely forced Bungie to cut a lot of content to extend the longevity over a decade. I get that it's a business but Activision clearly has no respect for the player. We are just a wallet to them. There are countless possibilities for new planets and enemies that it makes me so frustrated to continue to beat down on reskinned Fallen for 15$ - something I've been doing since September. Add new planets and create new enemies and do it sooner rather than later. See Borderlands for a reference on content. And if you're worried about too much content at once, just open up a new galaxy with other planets in future sequels. And why aren't there any enemies that fly? Re-Work Glimmer and Use Creativity First off, raise the cap to at least 50k. Charge more for items but give more for killing an ultra or major. Find creative ways for guardians to spend glimmer such as a waging mechanic where you can bet with friends on Crucible matches, go double or nothing on a bounty or a build your own shader station. Hell, there should be mini games in the Tower as well while I'm throwing ideas out there. Put a mini soccer field in the Tower and let us try to score goals. Have a firing range activity or something as well. The Sparrow The sparrow is just screaming untapped potential. Riding on the sparrow and speeding around corners on Mars is a lot of fun. Doing flips on the moon, fun as well. The mechanics of the sparrow are amazing but there's so much room for growth. There should be way more sparrows and sparrow shaders. Competitive and weekly race activities on top of customizable sparrows with cannons and machine guns.... Nuff said Harder versions of old Raids Raids are Destiny's most fun aspect for me. From struggling in Atheon in October and using the Sword to down Crota in December, these fights are some of the best experiences I've ever had in an FPS. But there's no reason to play them anymore. Level 34 Vault of Glass or Crota that drops light 36 gear that can be upgraded with Etheric light, drop new weapons and new exotics, or Etheric light and I'm in running these weekly across all my characters. It's such a shame that some of the best content is just forgotten about. I know level 34s who never even played VoG bc they started playing during the Dark Below. This also adds more variety and incentive to playing these raids. Even if Bungie just added the small possibility that one of the chests in the raid would drop a treasure key, I would run these raids just for that even if they stayed as is. Regardless, there needs to be something else that brings players back to these activities instead of grinding them for old gear that you can upgrade. Raid Vendors Raids should have their own bounties. Cash them in for raid reputation and use raid marks (earned from completing certain checkpoints) to buy raid gear or weapons from the vendors. Have the sold weapons and gear be on a weekly reset like the new NPC's. Daily Rotating Vanguard and Crucible bounties With the amount of guns to shoot in this game and abilities, you'd think there would be more options for bounties. I can't see why there aren't hundreds of different bounties that RNG daily so you barely get the same ones. Make them obtainable but challenging. I get that 5000XP is something I need and all, but I can't run Shrine of Oryx any more. Sorry. The vanguard and crucible bounties are old and need to be changed. Scorch Cannon & Sword Crucible Game Modes This seems like a no brainer considering Bungie made Halo's sword game type. Spawn the weapon in the middle and have teams fight over it. Put it on a timer and call it a day. Both of these weapons are some of the coolest parts of Destiny and this adds more variety to Crucible. Simple. Also, add a hardcore barebones Crucible game type that has no supers, no radar, friendly fire on, and no heavy. Private Lobbies in Crucible Imagine being able to do clan wars where you can customize the game to your liking? Round based, no supers, can ban certain weapons and pick your map. This needs to happen. I would 100% be on MLG GameBattles with my three friends on a Skirmish ladder. Map Vote in Crucible Every major shooter the last few years has had this mechanic yet Destiny uses RNG to dictate the next map. Annoying. I may be the minority here but I really enjoyed First Light and I hate that it has its own play list. Put all the maps, big and small in the control rotation and add a voting mechanic for what the next map will be. Edit - not sure how I could forget to the assault rifle buff. I used to primarily use assault rifles, shadow price and Suros regime to name my favorites. They need to be buffed slightly as a whole
