POE rewards, compared to trials rewards, are uninspired and ugly.

Disclaimer: This is not a post moaning about the lighthouse, TOO rewards, or about anything to do with PVP. Now, every trials reward I have seen, looks amazing. All that gold, ancient Egyptian theme, it does credit to the graphic artists at bungie, as well as the devs, that they where able to make armour as nice as it, kudos, you did a good job. Although you may be watching a few too episodes of stargate, first you had the vexgates, now the armour, get help. Now I look at the rewards awaiting me for prison of elders, and I sigh as I stare at a leather glove with a couple of bubbles on its shoulder. I go to look at the full set of warlock armour, it looks like you told an intern to design a piece of armour, then stuck spikes over it and called it "Fallen themed" or something. My point, you seem to be stuck in a loop with the design of armour and weapons in PVE rewards, always modelling them after whichever race the DLC or raid is focused on. Crota armour was fugly, no two ways around it. Given the choice,I expect many would have stuck with the vex armour, while it was no masterpeice, it looked somewhat decent, but light levels are needed to play the game, and up until this latest DLC, we had no way around it. POE weapons also seem to be much more weak and useless compared to TOO gear, I have seen weapons equipped on trials players that made me go "whoa" (trust me, that's difficult) I have seen nothing as such from either prison of elders and queens wrath, just more lazy development on your behalf making POE rewards simply upgraded queens wrath stuff from way back in the early game. Maybe you needed them because you can in late to the game, maybe you really want them? I have no wish to go into battle dressed as "Commando Barbie" My advice to you for your next big DLC is simple. Cast aside making race themed armour for PVE players, sit down and focus on creating a new set of armour with a bit of originality. You have creative minds, casting aside restrictions to make it look race themed should be good for you, allowing you to create something a little special. I have no issues with you making awesome stuff for PVP players, I would simply like to make sure we both get what we want. Gear that looks good and does good stuff. I agree, most of the armour looks really stupid. The main problem with a lot of it is it's rarely symmetrical, rarely accentuates the a toons frame, and it's also often obscure with dull texture. The ToO armour is often the complete opposite of that trend, and looks like they hired a decent fashion designer to help them. For example the Hunter's armour is almost entirely symmetrical, with nice shoulder pads; gold plates textured with wing designs.
