[u][b]TL/DR[/b][/u] (1/2) Allow merging 3 same weapons (Weapon X) of different elements, to be combined and have their perks customized, so we only need one of a type of weapon, for all elemental purposes. (2/2) Move Vault to it's own area, so RAM of old gen consoles have less to focus on, allowing vault expansion. _________________________________________________________________________________ My Other Topic [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/121604001/0/0]Vaultspace - Accidental Exotic Deletion - Exotic (and raid) Collection Board[/url] Note: Weapon merg/cust works for solutions to either RAM, or server space, (this topic, and the one above) making it a universal fix for vaultspace, no matter Bungie's excuse. _________________________________________________________________________________ After reading opinions on what the problem is for our lack of vault space ( arguments stating that it is due to how vault is loaded, and the limitations of last gen consoles RAM) I have devised 2 ideas based on this argument, one which would reduce the space we need (for weapons), and another that should allow expansion of vault slots (all vaultspace) [u][b]Suggestion 1 - Weapon Merging (and customization) [/b][/u] Through some in game method, (I suggest "weapon frames" sold by xur) we should be allowed to combind 3 Identical weapons, with different elements, (and perks) into one weapon, either similar to murmur, being able to swap between it's elements, or having a perk/element that allows the weapon to effectively adapt. You would be allowed to customize perks on this weapon based on what perks are available for it in a roll to have it just as you want. If the adaptation perk were applied, it would allow the weapon to act as any element, but be labeled as kinetic, unless this perk is implemented as a new [b]"fifth element"[/b]. The weapon perk would get bonus damage during a burn, and against a shield, but would only get both bonuses if the shield matches an available burn) [u][b]Suggestion 2 - Vault Relocation[/b][/u] According to some, this vaultspace restriction is due to older consoles RAM, based on the thought that the RAM cannot handle loading more information from the vault, due to all the "activity" in the social area it keeps loaded. Therefore, I would suggest one of 3 actions, Either hollow out a new map space in the tower and at the outpost, (similar to how we have tower north, and tower hanger at the moment) that is instanced so only your character (or fireteam possibly) can be seen there [i](do not over decorate this area bungie for the love of vault)[/i] These 2 new instanced areas, with low decoration [i](please don't waste ram on making the vault zone decorated D:)[/i] and no other players to maintain in the RAM should allow a massive increase to the overall vault size available to all players. Or, similar in concept, move the Vault to orbit, (I am sure orbit has very little RAM usage) so that we have more available RAM to operate a larger Vault. Lastly, we could have a space station above earth or somewhere in the center of the planet map called "The Vault."

    i wish we could stack things like guns or synthesis indefinetly. for me, i have too much spinmetal from treasure key farming in skywatch. it always feels like a waste to dismantle it, and it stack after 200 so i have to fill my vault with them.
