They took out shards and so only motes remain if you don't get armor/weapon/ship/shader… I thought at first, taking out shards was an improvement and you get more equipment, but actually it's even more worthless now… Actually I got more Dead Orbit armor from engrams farmed from aether chests than from the faction reward package.

It's bungie's philosophy that getting weapons or armor from faction packages is just way to easy. You should have to grind for weeks to get the good stuff. We can't just have a bunch of fcking scrubs running around with faction armor thinking they're good. Know what I'm saying?
