So, I have this fascination with Dead Orbit for the simple fact is that it appears to be scholars and people who hold this fanaticism with going deeper into space.
It just ignites the inner philosopher in me because when I read the descriptions of their items, I can only imagine a clandestine calling from it in the views of my Guardian as well as the search for riches and alien things.
To me, it just brings up deep thinking and thinking about what each description says.

"Listen, some stars won't stop calling us. - Arach Linde"
"At least we'll know we tried. - Arach Henri"
"Success is not about survival. It's about discovery. - Arach Modesta"
"When all is shadow, know your journey has begun. - Arach Parnell"
"Beyond the City. Yes, beyond the Traveler. - Arach Jalaal"

To me, they tell the story of what makes up the Dead Orbit faction;
Their want to leave earth again, go forth into the void in search of new planets, technology and life. And when they reach their failures and set backs, they'll know they have tried. For though they will lose members of the faction, they will continue on to reach success, and they will know that when their failures arise and show themselves, they've begun their road to success. But first, they need to leave the city and the protection of the traveler to begin their journey.
And that's why I love Dead Orbit.
What faction do you like? Do you see a meaning greater than just the surface of the faction? Or is it simply a warring faction within the City to you?

You're reason for liking dead orbit is kind of how I choose my armor. The descriptions they have. Like my warlocks leg armor *every time you rise the past walks with you*. Obviously I'm not going to select my armor just over the description alone, but I'd it's a good enough piece why not?

I dislike dead orbit because it seems like they are running away and willing to just let earth be taken. #thatsmyhome

Pretty much why I like it. Space and the rest of the universe has always fascinated me. I think dead orbit gets that. Why should we only stay and hide beneath the traveller? What kind of future is that? So much of humanity is in discovery. I think it would be a waste of our potential to ignore deeper space. We should spread and find new things. Dead orbit could find something that actually could help against the darkness. At the very least they are an endurance of survival. Getting some people outside of the system isn't a bad thing

Screw him 30 ranks and he gave me no more than shards and strange coins, motes of light.
-
Totally get what your talking about. My Titan mark says "The stars are calling." I dunno, there is just something mystical about that whenever I read it.
-
I am only in dead orbit for their shaders not for some other crap. I joined the faction for a chance at revenant. Dead orbit literally have me everything but revenant. I'm rank 66 btw how ridiculous is that!
-
Love the shaders and the ship. Now that I've got all of them (and two ships) I've started leveling New Monarchy and FWC.
-
you praise dead orbit but don't have a single shader? Just check out my toons.
-
Dead orbit are complete cowards...
-
I went with dead orbit because I like the shade of black, but with HoW, I'm not digging the look of the armor on any class except the Titan, so I'm basically just leveling dead orbit trying to get Revenant.
-
Lol I just like them because they're black and white haha

The Shotgun looks cool
