All I remember is this...
A small child stood in the middle of a ruined village, crying. Everything was gone, burnt to cinders and ash and all that he knew disappeared as if the gentle wind picked them up and took them away. The now cooled shells of guns were littered in the streets; disfigured bodies were strolled everywhere, unrecognizable. The footprints and remnants of the army's devastating wake was all that remained of them.
Despite all of this, the child just stood there, crying, feeling lonely and lost. The feeling of that night and everything prior in the boys life was lost over the course of time but something stood out in that memory. A lone man walked up to him, a pistol drawn. His details were shrouded in shadows or suppressed memory but his grunting thick voice wasn't.
"What are you doing kid?" The small child looked up at the man. He wiped his tears away pitifully and tried to answer but his voice failed him as he burst into tears again.
"I asked a question kid, what are you doing here?" The man said, this time more aggressively. The child coughed and stuttered his answer.
"I.... i... dont.... I don't know..."
"You don't know?"
The child nodded. "I... lost... m... my... momma..." More tears pooled from his eyes. He collapsed as his will to live on started to die out. His body shook out of agony and fear. "I... wanna... save... my momma!..." His wails grew louder as he shouted at whatever could here him. "I... wanna... prote... pro... tect... my... MOMMA!!...."
The man stood for a moment quietly as the child sobbed on. His next actions were engraved forever in the child's mind.
"Hey kid." The child looked up at him. The pistol was pointed at his head. Inside the barrel was an abyss of black but the outside was coated silver with the letters COLT 45 along the unusual irons of the gun and also the letters B E A U T Y engraved near the hammer that was now cocked. "If you wanna save here, you have to join here first."
Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang.
The loud noise rang in my ear, along with my Sergeants voice.
"CADET NO NAME! GET YOUR LOUSY, NO GOOD ASSETS OUT THAT BUNK NOW!"
My eyes shot open as I jolted up from my bed, hitting the bunk over me. I held my head as Sergeant continued to bark. "Your late Cadet No Name! Get dressed and report to the training ground now!" He stomped away and slamed the door to the barracks shut.
I sighed and rolled out of bed.
"Out of all the Guardians I could be... Why am I a Titan?..." My voice echoed in the empty room. I pulled my self together and scrambled to get ready for training.
Hope you guys like it. I can work on more if this is received well. Any changes or questions are accepted just be considerate
