Fourth class idea ( in details )

[b]PRIEST[/b] (healer/support type) FIRST SUBCLASS: [b][u]PRAYER[/u][/b] (Arc type) "You must remain true to the light as the traveler wants you to" [spoiler][b][u]grenades[/u][/b] [b]Fang grenade[/b] : a sticky pulse grenade that steal health from the ennemy with each pulse [b]Light grenade[/b] : a grenade that blinds its ennemy and restore a slight portion of nearby allies health [b]Illusion grenade[/b] : a grenade that confuse the ennemy and turn them against each other for a short time (3-5secs) [b][u]vertical ability[/u][/b] [b]Quick boost[/b] : while in the air hiting the jump button will trigger a foward boost at the chosen direction [b]Increase control[/b] (+2 agility) [b]Extended boost[/b] : increase the distance of the Quick boost [b]Ground boost[/b] : double tapping the jump button while grounded will allow the user to perform a quick dodge in the selected direction [b][u]super ability[/u][/b] [b]Traveler's will[/b] : give the user a cloak of arc light that damage nearby ennemies and instantly revive nearby allies [b]Unflexible will[/b] : extend the duration of traveler's will [b]Forgiving will[/b] : instead of damaging ennemies, the arc cloak heals nearby allies (aswell as reviving them) [b]Fierce Will[/b] : reduce the cooldown of traveler's will [b][u]Melee ability[/u][/b] [b]Bane[/b] : a powerfull repulsive arc energy wave (kind of solar wind but with much more repulsive power) [b]Shocking reality[/b] : kills with Bane will damage nearby ennemies [b]Pain's resolve[/b] : kills with Bane will heal nearby allies and the user [b]Traveler's wrath[/b] : Bane shield to the user (+2 armor) [b]Shadow predator[/b] : using Rise of darkness will make you invisible (for as long as the rise of darkness duration) [b][u]Melee ability[/u][/b] [b]Shroud of fear[/b] : throw a blast of void energy at the opponent and make him flee for a short time (3-5sec) (blind the enemy for a short time (PVP) [b]Vision of horror[/b] : increase the duration of the shroud of fear effect (pvp=blind a bit longer) [b]Vampirism[/b] : in addition of the base effect of shoud of fear, steal a portion of health also [b]New order[/b] : kills with shroud of fear will reduce the cooldown of rise of darkness [b][u]1st passive abilities[/u][/b] same as the first subclass [b][u]2nd passive abilities[/u][/b] [b]Light eater[/b] : picking up orbs of light will reduce the cooldown of your grenades [b]Master of the horde[/b] : kills with shroud of fear will prevent a shield to nearby allies (+2 armor) [b]Soul reaper[/b] : extend the duration of Rise of darkness (+5sec) [b][u]3rd passive abilities[/u][/b] same as the first subclass [b][u]last passive abilities[/u][/b] [b]knights of darkness[/b] : increase the damage output of the summoned knights [b]True terror[/b] : any kills made by your summoned knight will trigger an energy drain effect [b]Shadow shredder[/b] : kills with shroud of fear will temporary boost movement speed (+2 armor) [/spoiler] I know this is all just ideas but damn i would love to see it happen! :P So let me now what you guys think of my ideas :) Edit: i do know in pvp the prayer would sound too OP but if i can say this : the revive ability would work only if revive are enable (like in skirmish) but yeah there would be some balancing issues probably. These ideas are still fresh so they can and would probably change ^^ Edit 2: sorry for the names :( fast chosen ones i was more concentrate on the actual perks of the subclasses ^^

      • I really like the summoner and the summoner's abilities. I also like the your priest idea, but that would make the game too easy I would think. However, I do think that both would be awesome additions to the game. We need more than three characters, Because after while the game gets boring and with few sub class options almost everyone in the game is almost the same. I'd like to see this almost like Diablo 2, because in it every class and subclass made for some really neat gameplay. Also I would like to see a character that can wield a sword in the game, or at least create a sword primary weapon set in normal, legendary, and exotic.

                        • Prayer one was an awesome idea given there is no way for guardians to gain health. Just done see how it could play a role in destiny at this time. Very good job though.

                          • Meh. JUST KIDDING THAT WAS FRIGGIN AMAZING!!!!! Couple things I would change: OP, you seem to be a guy of creativity, so make "Prayer" have a more creative name. Also, make Traveler's Gift heal normally, and revive a single ally with a modifier. To unrealistic otherwise. Of course, OP is awesome, so OP can do whatever the hell OP wants.

                                    • You can't have a guardian that can switch between using light and darkness. I do think the Prayer subclass was good, but guardians regenerate health, and there are other ways to trigger health regeneration. Summoning hive knights is ridiculous. The idea of summon is actually plausible because it said that many new life forms came into existence after the traveler arrival such as the ahamkara.

                                          I'd like for there to be more support options and "roles", since I'm all for more RPG elements to be added to Destiny. However, an all new class I don't think is necessary, and this doesn't really seem to fit. Also I think if you go too overboard with the "healing" it would become way too useful / overpowered. IMO, it should be limited to supers. For example, if Sunsinger had an alternative to Fireborn that reduced the revive cooldown of nearby allies when you pop Radiance. Or granted nearby allies the option to resurrect if they go down while your Radiance is active. Or you could have a perk called "Defibrillator" for Striker that revives allies when you use Fist of Havok near them. Maybe Hunter's Golden Gun could cause a sort of healing explosion when you hit a surface, putting a Flame Shield on nearby allies. Etc. That sort of thing. Basically give all classes useful healing abilities rather than giving healing to one class, making it OP. I'm interested to see if any of these sorts of skills make their way into the future classes. Like Void Hunter, Arc Warlock and Solar Titan.

                                              • Interesting, but reviving nearby allies seems a little excessive, especially in PvP. If a titan were to fist of havoc and kill 5 members of your team, and suddenly you activate your super, would all of them come back to life? That sounds pretty overpowered to me. Overall good ideas.

                                                • "Traveler's will : give the user a cloak of arc light that damage nearby ennemies and instantly revive nearby allies" Because this wouldn't be totally OP in Crucible. Or anywhere. Change instantly revive allies to, heals allies for the duration of the super, and you've got yourself a much more balanced super. When designing a 'class' in a game, it's good to say "This would be totally sick", but if you want to be taken seriously, look at it realistically and say "How can my proposed subclass be abused? how is it OP?" Good effort though.

                                                  • Interesting idea but there are three classes for a reason, that reason (or at least one of the as I didn't make the game so I can't know for sure) is that there are three class stats, armor, recovery and agility. Each class higher base stats in each one; titan, warlock and hunter respectively. To integrate another class there would have to be another stat, and for there to be another stat the (sub)class upgrades and the subclasses themselves would have to be completely rearranged, which I'm guessing would be rather difficult and time consuming to integrate.
