I think I finally found a purpose for high rate of fire, low impact auto rifles. The key is counterbalance and high caliber rounds. Counter balance makes the recoil extremely manageable. The kick goes straight up so the only compensation needed is to aim slightly down when shooting. The high caliber rounds are the most important. The constant barrage of bullets make high caliber rounds effective. The opponent is constantly being knocked back and the sheer amount of bullets means he is consistently off target. With other guns there may be a pause with the rate of fire making the opponent compose himself and aim back, but with bullet hoses you are constantly being hit by bullets. I have been beating thorns and the last words with this. The small magazines of these hand canons make it difficult to adjust to the knock back and successfully land enough shots to kill. By the time they've adjusted, half of their shots have missed. I was lucky enough to get a Silimar's Wrath with this roll from a drop.
I posted this before but I just wanted to get the word out that high rof and low impact aren't totally useless if you have good perks.

Edited by BigDaddyE47: 5/6/2015 9:35:08 PMHow to use Similar's wrath 2.0 1. locate it in your inventory 2. break it down into weapon parts and ascendant energy 3. equip a weapon that doesn't totally suck ass edit: break it down into just weapon parts, apparently ib guns don't give energy - i got one from the IB but haven't broken it down yet because it's pretty and i'm a hoarder but i'm not going to train it, I have an fully upgraded Unwilling Soul and Similar's wrath is a reskin of it.

High caliber rounds was a staple of my Fang during the last iron banner. Noob thornies couldn't land a single shot lol
-
This make work against less skill users but anyone who has any sort of aim will have no issue hitting head shots while being knocked back and that goes for any hand cannon. I ran into a guy using Silimars wrath with the exact roll you are talking of and he onl killed me once face to face compared to me killing him 5to6 times that match face to face.

Very interesting.
-
Yup, OPs kd checks out.
-
What do you think of mine, it's on my Titan. Persistence High caliber rounds Crowd control Should I go head and upgrade it, or Vault it for next Iron Banner?
-
The problem is the range though. In iron banner I was getting cross mapped by both thorn and TLW. Wrath doesn't have enough range to counter. Best way I found to counter them was using Three Little Words with high caliber. Also Vex worked well for close quarter maps. Interesting idea I just think the range would be an issue
-
I have a silimars with exactly that roll so I might try it out a little later
-
Yay I have the perfect roll for that
-
Interesting.....
-
You're joking, right? It's not even worth the energies I get for dismantling it.
-
bump for later
-
So I actually played against you last night on anomaly and as soon as I saw this post I knew it had to be you.
-
Just realized I have the same roll on my silimar's (except I have lightweight instead of fitted stock). I'll have to level it and try it out
-
Looks interesting! I'll have to try to roll that next time IB is here. Also nice new monarchy sniper!

Approximately how far away can an opponent be before it becomes hard to accurately hit them with sustained fire from Silimar's? A bullet hose flinch machine sounds interesting, but I worry that having a low range AR means that I might constantly be dancing close to shotty range. I'd imagine flinch would indeed provide effective disruption to precision weapons, but not so much to shotguns. I'm unsure whether Silimar's has raw killing power to stop a shotgun user before they get in range. How is your experience with dealing with shotgunners?
-
I love Silimar's Wrath.. but you really want the damage. Reactive reload + crowd control and increased reload speed gauntlets. I killed a guy with thorn, reloaded, and beat a guy with vex in a 1 on 1 firefight. Took him out as if he was using the Khostov.
-
Step 1: Take bullets out of gun. Step 2: tape rocks to gun. Step 3: Throw gun at TLW user. Step 4: Profit.
-
Personally, I use auto rifles when I runwith a buddy. One of us uses NLB (because of ammo/intimidation factor), and the other uses an auto rifle. Enemies go down really fast when they simultaneously get sniped and are killed by 2 auto rifle shots.
-
It has the honor of being the only iron banner weapon that sucks...
-
What happens if they shoot back lol. I'm sure if you got hit by MIDA or a lash your aim would go to shit
-
could we see some gameplay of this
-
This is probably just as useful as a necrochasm.
-
Sounds like something worth testing
-
I always thought high calibre rounds don't stagger in PvP.
-
I have maxed stability on mine. it's trash.
